Not to mention, if someone actually want to have actual STAR and WARS open world experience, then X4 Star Wars Interworlds mod is the only choice.
You want to be Imperial? Rebel? Sith? Hutt? Pirate? Mercenary? Unaligned Trader or Miner? command a band or entire fleet? Carver your own empire and become next Palpatine? All of this in SWI.
Yeah! We basically ~only~ need some more character customization and more fps game play. And as we are at it ... planets... *cough*
Gogogo Egosoft!

Have fun clakclak
For me, the game is still a no-go because Ubisoft despite me being a huge Star Wars fan.
Yeah I can certainly understand that. Leaving aside all issues with Ubisofts consumer hostile buisness practices, their games are also all following the same formula since Far-Cry 3. I think the last Ubisoft game I played was Assasins Creed Black Flag when it came out in 2013 and I also did not finish it. The one thing I will give them is that usually their game worlds look brilliant at least, even those that end up being devoid of interesting stories or content. Like I said, certainly not a game I am going to pay full price for, but once it hits the 15€ mark, I am going to give it a try, for that price I am pretty sure I am going to have a decent enough time, even if I just play the main story.
The Split Rattlesnake in X4 is a corvette disguised as a destroyer.
So I played some of Diablo 4 while it was on it's free to play weekend trial on steam and I have to say, while the game is not bad at the same time it is not good either, it's just rather mediocre at best, I would say if you haven't played Diablo 3 before, then buy that instead and if you already own Diablo 3 then just play that instead as it's the better game.
Yesterday, Satisfactory came out of early access for it's 1.0 release it's a factory building game that I do highly recommend personally I have to say the map alone is worth playing as I think it is one of the best game maps there is, and I loved exploring it and I haven't played the game in some time, so I'm looking forward to exploring the map all over again as it has changed some since I last played. The factory building side of it can be quite daunting, but there are plenty of guides and video out there to help you along the way, Some notable YouTubers to watch are TotalXclipse, Bitz or ImKibitz they do some good builds another one to check out is Scalti, while he is not on the others level his videos helped me start out as he has some good factory build guides.
The only issue I currently have with Satisfactory, is that I got introduced to a game called Enshrouded at the weekend, and I'm loving it and seeing as I can only play a single game at any one time I'm having to pick between it and my new start in Satisfactory. If you liked Skyrim, I think Enshrouded will be a game you will also like it, it's an RPG open world survival base building game. It's still in early access but don't let that fool you if the game was released tomorrow without any changes, I don't think I would complain. The game map is massive, there are more than enough quests to do, and the skill tree is pretty interesting. Anyway, check it out, it's another indie game that is way better than any AAA game.
Satisfactory is very chill out and engaging at the same time.
Very limited and avoidable (or plain out switch off option) combat, so you can fully focus on factory building (e.g. if you don't like constant tower defense and alien pressure in Factorio).
The game is ideal for Autumn when weather outside is going bad and nights going longer.
I am currently downloading the ‘Realms Rebuild Update’ from Nightingale. Maybe I'll have a closer look at it at the weekend. Very interesting setting (alternative Victorian-inspired world with fairies and the like) and very pretty UE5 Engine powered graphics.
Stalker Anomaly a free Stalker complete overhaul mod. Mod is on moddb. Has all the areas of the main three games and some from other mods. Need to be careful balancing the game through using weapons and armour or you become way too powerful. Highest rated armour makes the game easy.
Just be a bit careful as, in the past at least, that Stalker Anomaly mod using 'Grok's Better Sound' has made unwanted lasting changes to system global OpenAL sound settings and responses that have adversely affected other games such as X4 after playing modded Stalker.
From the known X4 issues Sticky thread. "If you have been playing Stalker with a certain Anomaly mod then that can mess with the global OpenAL settings. See here and onwards."
Now I've become weak after all and bought the much-maligned Dragons Dogma 2 in the sale (not directly via Steam though)... and so far I really like it and can even play it quite passably with mouse and keyboard.
I don't yet know whether it can compete with its predecessor, but it's fun so far. The performance is also ok on my RX 7700 XT/and the R5 5600 X Duo in WQHD ( ~ 50 - 60+ FPS in the Capital City with high/quality Presets and FSR3 without RT), but could of course be much better optimised.
I was once again in the mood for a nice open world ‘RPG’ and climbing around on monsters and finding their weak points was something I really enjoyed in part 1
The awesome Tiny GLADE was released [on Steam] today =)

Playing The Last Plague Blight at the moment .. for early access it is polished with no crashes or bugs (that I have noticed) plus a responsive dev, It is a quite in depth survival simulation spoiled a little by of all things "The Blight" which is a spore bound infection spreading overland killing everything in its path. The downside is that it puts time pressure on the player to find a remedy which is a shame because the survival experience has been well thought out. From basic woodwork through to steel tools, disinfectants, gardening, pottery, cooking and of course building. All put together in a very reasonable priced package... beware of the coyotes , wolves and bears.... There is a Demo.
Totally hooked on Enshrouded but now waiting for the next update and started to play Mass Effect Andromeda (again). Intended to use some mods but FrostyModManager does not work for me even without mods. Well, nvm I just play what I always play between games (now what modul was missing at my wharf).

Yeah, Enshrouded in my books is a must-have game. I went into the Hollow Halls not knowing what it was turns out it's a dungeon made for parties, but it can be done solo, and I was solo. I must have spent an hour or so, and it was tough going the puzzles were simple to work out, but I got to a stage where I was out of potions and bandages and my inventory was full I was throwing things away to make room for better items. I wanted to carry on, but I reluctantly decided if I got into another big fight I would die, and I would lose my inventory, so I quit and head back to base with the intentions of returning another day I continued playing the game levelling up forgetting about Hollow Halls eventually I wanted the reward for completing it, so I stocked up on potions and bandages and headed back, it was so much easier now that I had levelled up and was back to where I finished the last time, and I was still fully stocked with everything I needed, so I carried on just to find out I was at the bottom of the dungeon, there were no more mobs and the dungeon reward was right there, If only I had one more potion or bandage that last time I would have continued and completed it then and there.
Doing a new Rogue Trader run - without the new DLC [as the new class doesn't appeal to me]. But I discovered a mod which let you roll a sister of battle as main character.

Now Playing Mirthwood: Is an indie farm simulation with a medieval/fantasy flavour. In my opinion, the graphics are good and ‘hand-drawn’ and are somewhat reminiscent of the medieval drawings you see in history books (NPC/PC). Certainly not AAA graphics with eye-watering graphic effects. Rather cosy gameplay and a little reminiscent of Stardew Valley, only with a much darker setting. Still a little rough and choppy here and there. The Fights against Fantasy-Monsters, Bandits etc. in particular are the weak point so far. But that's what the (two or three) developers want to tackle next. It has real potential and there's enough to do, even outside of the quests and storyline, which are both there. Farming/Mining/Fishing etc.
It is currently available with a 10% introductory discount (Steam) and there have already been two hotfixes so far.
Daft little text based game came up for sale on Steam, 'Warsim, The Realm of Aslona', and I thought why not, especially since my eco-self uses a very low wattage laptop now more than my
desktop.
It's a strangely addictive medieval kingdom 'war' game, with a lot of humour and a mass of replayability. Indignant peasants can come to your throne room demanding reparations when their crops failed after a soldier farted on it... It has a bit of a learning curve, but there's a more than adequate tutorial with abridged versions available for the impatient.
RE Stalker 2 - finally the download was finished ( ) - and it runs awesome on my i7-9700k / 32 GB / 4070 ti super 16 GB in 4K UHD
I just set framerate cap to 120fps and left everything else on auto settings (epic) and went finally back to the zone.

Geoguessr - game based on Google map street view - you're put in random location in the world and have to guess where are you - they closer you guess the more points you get. https://www.geoguessr.com/
Quite entertaining and engaging as you have to use your world knowledge (language, signs, street ads, climate/geology, landmarks) to deduct the place.
