@Connary:
Your screens shows clearly that Sol sectors can be interesting without fancy nebula background - just focus on Planets, Moons and Sun light to make a perfect background.

More than likely as it edits X3Universe.xml

What a creative genius you are connary! I think you're on the right track. mercury2.jpg with the planet somewhere placed appropriately is spot on ... Your beautiful sun (always at the correct relative size), with stars but no fancy nebula (or a very, very faint one representing the Milky Way) is the way to go in Terran sectors.

Yes, its the definitive version for the next upload.

Im also working on this, I consider this a HEAVY SPOILER, initially only for testers:

Planet lights for Core Xenon sectors, simulating an artificial world, geometrical. A bit like matrix...
Need some work to get a more continuous look on all the planet.
A problem arise, we need to check the entire galaxy to be sure that this lights dont appear in a non Xenon sector.
I dont know if this is against the xenon concept, i need the opinion from players that knows well the game lore

Lore doesn't say much about xenon installations on planets. So nothing speaking against it. Tho I think a more dark-orange ish colour like the lights on the xenon fighters might look better. Also, some circular shapes - all strictly geometrical of course.

Xenon infrastructure hubs, thats a really good idea. That would be very time consuming for a one tester to find out if the Xenon hubs are appearing in the other sectors belonging to friendly races. With 3-4 guys testing, each one testing one race shouldnt be too long to find out.
I also have a vision for a planet in the Xenon Space (if it's possible). A normal habitable planet like in Seizewell but with the huge black scarred regions, ravines and patches - effects of the Xenon warfare experimentations.

One more thing regarding your recent posting with Mercury. You are heading the right way, tremendous stuff. I'd make the Sun a little more yellowish then orange.

Here's a reference pic from Celestia (very good planetarium)

Might be really helpful when spaking of the sizes, and distances from the Sun.

@ Connary.

Found two more bugs, Paranid Prime and Empires Edge sectors have a messed up background, as you can see in these screenshots.

I'm not sure what he cheese he eats before bed time but by golly he does the bizz doesn't he. :o

Nice new look to the Paranid Prime environs, will this appear further afield as well or is there another look to more remote Paranidian realms?
Make sure it's not too bright all over tho' or we'll all have migraines after visiting our three eyed friends.

You will get some sickness visiting the Paranids. All fog paranid sectors share the same look. I will decrease the use of this sector only for the core and central Paranid sectors.
Different moods for far space its a good objective to reach. I will include this version in the next upload. With a bit of testing we will know if someone is going to vomit.

@ Connary.

By description, Trinity Sanctrum has twin planets guarded by artificially constructed asteroid belt. Could you add a second planet to this sector? :)
