Did some research on PAX DEI and found some part solution to the slightly floaty game play, I find (now the wolf holds no fear for me unlike the wolves) that it is a little shallow but an excellent representation of a true Sandbox game and what is more important it keeps me busy (don't mind grind if it pertains to the gameplay).. the people I have met (MMO) have all been pleasant and helpfull, it is a very chilled relaxing way to spend an evening, although confronting the unpleasant NPC's has not occurred yet and the Bear has been circumvented.

At the moment I'm playing another early access survival/Townbuilder/Lifesimgame, which has already had quite a bit of development time behind it. Sengoku Dynasty, because I already loved Medieval Dynasty.

However, they are two different game developers based in Poland. So it's not a sequel but a different setting (late medieval Japan of the eponymous Sengoku period) with more focus on story/characters and probably also more combat.

In terms of gameplay, however, village building, farming and resident management are quite similar. Graphically very pretty to look at with its Far Eastern flair. I like it very much so far, despite the rough edges that still exist. It's also currently discounted in the Summersale on Steam.

Nice Game so far, but... Early Access yes.

Got me Half-Life: Blue Shift and the Orange Box yesterday. So I'll see whether Half-Life 2 really deserved all the praise back then.

I've not been right the past couple of weeks, so I've been hanging out in my conservatory the problem with that is there is not too much to do in a conservatory, I don't have a television, so I can't watch that, I could read a book or two, but I couldn't be bothered. Watching the birds outside only last as long as the food does, which isn't too long, but it's nice watching the antics of the baby magpies while it does last. I do have a laptop that I use for streaming, but I struggle to watch a film without getting bored, which is why I don't bother with a television now. Then I thought steam does have remote play while my main computer is upstairs I decided to give it a try, I am reasonably surprised it works most of the time but when it doesn't it's like trying to swim up a waterfall, your game goes nowhere. I am using Wi-Fi while they do recommend a physical connection to solve that issue, but I currently don't own a long enough Ethernet cable and I have other plans in the books, so I'm not going to waste the money on getting one right now.

Okay, I hear you, what does this have to do with playing other games, I'm getting there. So as I have been using steams remote play means I have been playing games there was a slight issue though let's be honest a cheap laptop keyboard and trackpad were not meant for playing games, but then I remembered I do have an Xbox controller, but even that has its limits as not all games are controller friendly, but I do have a few games that I play with a controller, the first is graveyard keeper, so I was playing that for a bit, and it plays great with remote play even on this ageing laptop.

I got to thinking can you use remote play to actually play non-steam games, the other week there Epic gave away Farming Simulator 22 I enjoyed FS19 and I always used the controller for it, so I added the game as a non-steam game, at first I was disappointed as it didn't show up on my laptop, so I didn't think it was going to work but when I did the old IT trick of turning things off and back on again, hey presto there it was on the list of games on the old laptop and wouldn't you believe it, it actually works, the only issue FS22 will not run on its own, you need to have Epic running at the same time, but that's no big deal. So it turns out you can run non-stem games on remote play.

So I have spent my time mostly playing Graveyard Keeper and Farming Simulator 22, now would I recommend them Graveyard keeper, even though it is an old game I still love playing it and would recommend it in a heart beat also, I would also recommend the Strange Sins DLC, can't comment on the other DLC as I don't have them. As for FS22 well with that it's a yes and a no, if you have FS19 I say don't bother there are some differences between the two but to be honest I don't think they are enough basically FS19 and FS22 are the same games just FS22 is a modded version of FS19, but if you don't own FS19 and want a Farming Simulator game, then sure buy FS22 instead of FS19. On a totally different note FS25 is getting released at the end of the year, but I suspect that it will just be a modded version of FS22 rather than an actual new game.

Was pretty much hooked to Empyrion (I love games where you can build stuff) but now I've discovered Enshrouded. Like Empyrion It claims to be a voxel-based survival game but it's not (you do not die if you not eat/drink etc.). It's more like Skyrim (explore, kill stuff and loot) but with excellent building features.

Enshrouded is the best game for me so far this year. It plays well and you always have something to tinker with and build. I like the Mixture of Skyrim/Minecraft/Valheim with light Survival.

I'll also play Empyrion (Playtime: >850 h ... where goes the Time? :o ) again as soon as the Reforged Eden 2 mod is finalised. Looks like it's going to be good ;-)

It was ok. I guess I have played it far too late and also played more modern games with similar features to be impressed by it anymore.

Recently I played Strange Horticulture and Supraland.

Redout 2 -game was recently given away at Epic Store free giveaway - a futuristing racing game.

I tried it just to check it...and got hooked for 50 hours!
I usually dont like this genre.

Game is very friendly on keyboard gameplay (albeit it is definetly much better with controller) and despite racing at 1'000-2'000 km/h speed range, the graphic isn't seizue inducing...that much :D
Has nice learning curve where begining races are short and slow, but gradually get longer and faster (the end game races are like 10+ minute mamoths at 1'500 km/h average speed :D ).
There is also nice dynamic soundtrack that react to your race - e.g. if you do the jump there is nice, bullet time-like music suspense and the faster you go the faster music tracks hit on).

There are only 3 somehow weak points:
1) later on, the NPC difficulty level spike suddenly - I was forced to change game difficulty level to zero (gaming journos difficulty level?)...and got duped and bamboozeld! It isn't zero and racing NPC still provide challenge - they don't give you the win on the plate... you have to snatch it from them).
2) It becomes very repetetive - you will race the same tracks and areas dozens and dozens of time...which was frustrating....untill at the end, with those mammoth giant high-speed races, I started to appreciate those dozend and dozes of repeats - made me feel every meter of the track by reflex.
3) Weird performace problems at the 10-30s start of race on some tracks (I assume game still loads something)

If Epic will repeat giveaway (which they sometimes do) then grab it on Epic, or if it's on Steam sale, grab it there - definetly worth it!

"Redout Solar Challenge Edition" is on GOG https://www.gog.com/en/game/redout_sola ... ge_edition

Includes all DLCs. Its not on any cheap pricing at the moment, but if anyone liked Wipeout series on PS, or FZero GX on Nintendo 64 .. Redout SC is superb.

I bought Stranded: Alien Dawn. I've never played Rimworld (I don't like the graphic style at all, unfortunately), so I was able to approach the game with an open mind. I still play it. Like the obvious role model ‘Rimworld’, it's a colony building simulator on an alien planet.

It's a shame that the game won't be developed any further after another DLC has been released. It still has a lot of development potential, but at least there are a few mods for it and workshop support.

In my opinion a good game, even at full price.

It appears that you will not be able to play Fallout London if you bought the original Fallout 4 from Epic Store.

This is common knowlege for quite some time now - good thing there are alternatives and no one has to use Epic Store. :)

There goes my hopes to get F4 from Epic Free Giveaway to play this mod.

Not that, it doesn't always get a dirt cheap sale on every single Steam sale last few years :D.
I always skipped them waiting for Epic giveaway.

I'm sorry you are having trouble runnig it :(. At reddit is a very detailed guide - hopefully this gives you any pointers. On GOG it was a lot less steps - just install FO4 GOTY, run the FOLON installer, add the Buffout 4 mod (essential - otherwise the game is very unstable), run the game directly with the F4se-loader.

The game is totally awesome - I'm a die-hard Fallout 1 & 2 fan - and this mod brings back the old vibes. The overall quality is astonishing.
In other words - it's totally worth it. I consider Fallout London the "real" Fallout 4...

So it seems as if Star Wars Outlaws ended up a lot better than I would have anticipated. I honestly never planned on playing it, but I saw a recent review by GameStar with a reviewer who in the past had a similar taste in games I have and was highly critical of the game before it came out and he seemed suprised with the game and quite happy with how it panned out. Apperently while gameplaywise it does not do anything different from other Ubisoft games and the story is pretty standard stuff, it is the character design that really turns this into a good game. Especially the main character seems to show understandable character growth throughout the game and her connection with the other characters apparently pulls you into the story. The review was titled with "Ubisoft, of all companies, manages to do what Disney fails to do" and I thought that summed his thoughts up quite well. Think I'll actually get this when it is a lot cheaper.

Same - for me Ubisoft games are peak generic and all SW: Outlaws footage I see is very boring.

Even Starfield SW mod looks more lively than this.

Not to mention, if someone actually want to have actual STAR and WARS open world experience, then X4 Star Wars Interworlds mod is the only choice.
You want to be Imperial? Rebel? Sith? Hutt? Pirate? Mercenary? Unaligned Trader or Miner? command a band or entire fleet? Carver your own empire and become next Palpatine? All of this in SWI.
