For more customisation, I'd like to make my Skunk a rusty old bucket.
X Rebirth is a post-apocaliptyc game, after all - why everything looks shiny and new, damnit?

Also, I want Supercharged engines 2.0
With the lowest steering and strafing power of all engines, but top speed of 400+ it would be my favorite one... Together with Dashing Shields Mk4 and the Innertial Hammer Mk2.

Guys watch this

Is a research tree.
Now imagine the same system for the evolution of the albion Skunk,so for some reason now you have to unlock everything before you can install it on your ship,starting basic like unlocking a radar going forward to more complex stuff,like invisibility camouflage and so on...

Now,this stuff is not purchased by money,but is unlocked through research and gathering the components to build the upgrade around the space :P

This would be a lot of fun,what do you think?

I hope someone at egosoft read this and start thinking about how cool it could be :P

Few questions:

1. turning head in cockpit - is it working the same way as in previous games, controlled by numeric keyboard?
And will it be possible to use MOUSE to look around in cockpit, and steer with WSAD, like in Farcry 3, or Euro Truck simulator vehicles, for example? Would be Great :)

2. the external view, does it work like in X3, or is it a viable option to use while in combat and standard flight, with reticle and proper camera angling? And visible HUD?

Specialists are not engineers or pilots! Specialists are the guys you hire for your station to increase efficiency. In the current state there are like 15 of these guys in the whole universe, they didnt respawn. So you couldnt assign these specialists anymore if you had a lot of stations. Now they respawn when you hired one. Just the pricetag goes up.

The external view has no hud.
Cockpit view is controllable via numpad keys. I am not aware of a mouse free look.

it says Specialists, not Crew :roll: Specialists like the Cell Specialist do not repawn currently. they are generated at Universe Init and thats it. the Crew for your Ships does indeed respawn, but they are not meant by that.

Oh, thanks for explaining.

Well it's nice that they respawn now.
I still say prices should be based on their skill alone. :o
Think about in real life. Hiring more programmers doesn't cost more per programmer hired.
Hire price depends on the job and you find someone who wants that job at that pay.

Oh weird refresh - it was in response to this:

"actually you shouldnt see any rahanas flying trough stations anymore while docking. the only case this is currently happening, is when they are boosting from another zone into the target zone.
If you see it happening while docking, please consider donating pancakes to the captain."

Please guys!!! We only have an early info on the next patch.. don't be rude and thank for the infos... And please!!! don't go on further improvments on what is in this changelog, for god!!! Wait for it to be released and tested and then you'll ask for more if needed!

Sandbox means that the player has tools to modify the world themselves and create how they play.

End-game is something to do when you reach the maximum height X:Rebirth allows you to,so a huge fleet and lots of money...

After 3 Ingame Days,i see not one Xenon Battleship in the whole Galaxy.Except Maelstrom maybe.

Was waiting the possibility to buy S/M ships since a looooong time :D .

Now, let's wait a MOD/Patch to use them to do squad and patrol.

I'm not sure if i understood right, there IS a menu reworks ?
