Question:
Where is the configure menu? I put all the scripts and folders of everything required in the scripts and root folders of my steam version of x3tc.
There was a post saying a screenshot of the config menu would be in the OP but its not. So its hard to configure anything...

@Catra: Some good ideas there.
In your game settings go to "controls" then "interface" and scroll down to "Community Plugin Config" and assign a hotkey.canshow wrote:Question:

This worked. I have another possible problem though. How do I interact with the Xenon? Whenever I try to use ECS on a station it just tells me about prestige and how many construction materials I have and that the next shipment will be in hull seconds. I also have something I can select, but it only says 0X6765656B.ThisIsHarsh wrote:

First you need to make sure that you have "Xenon Emissary" enabled in the MBR options. Then all you have to do is use your ECS hotkey on a Xenon Military Base (which I believe is called a Xenon Nexus now) and it should allow you to "join" the XenonPrism wrote:This worked. Ah, apologies, misunderstandingPrism wrote:This happened after joining the Xenon.

As for that, I have no idea. I have yet to join side with the Xenon

OK, I just checked this out. Yeah the options are a little limited. The 'next shipment will be in null seconds' is a bug, but only cosmetic. I'll sort this out asap.Prism wrote:This worked. Once you have joined the Xenon, set your relations to them to Friend and all other races to Enemy.
To make the Xenon ships in the sector like you, leave the sector and re-enter - it takes ages for the Xenon ships to recognize you as a friend otherwise. If Xenon ships are getting in your way, comm the Nexus and all Xenon ships currently targeting you will self-destruct.
Dock any ship you own at the Nexus to be repaired, etc.
Your only source of income is captured ships that you sell to the Xenon shipyards.
In your personal ship's command console, under "Additional Ship Commands" start the "Reconnaissance uplink". At first this will only work for defense, you need to get 100 more prestige points before your recon work will call in invasions (or you can just change the points required in the config menu).
To get more points, join the Xenon in defense/invasion, where you see enemy ships tagged with {X} after their name. Killing those ships will earn you points.
BTW: 0X6765656B does actually have a meaning - you deserve a biscuit if you can figure it out.

Great script.
I just started a new game with your latest version and Apricot Merge/Mod.
Doesn't look like the Xenon are taking over any sectors, just the other races. They used to wreck havok when I used your prior version with the vanilla X3TC.
I suspect that the Apricot Wanderers are kicking some Xenon @ss before they can build up an invasion force.

Did you remember to enable Xenon Military Bases in the AL plugins menu (seperate from the main config menu)?grellth wrote:Great script.

I was wondering how do I go about repairing my rep with a faction? Missions like normal?
I'm asking because I'm confused about the donation centers and the diplomacy menu. I'm playing as a Pirate with Pirate guild installed and their enemies switch according to how much damage they do to the guild.
It was the Paranid who were the current enemy when I joined the guild, so I took my newly capped Tresher(it was already in combat so I just took advantage of it) and proceeded to eliminate their transports, I took on a Zeus that jumped into the sector, staying out of their range it was easy picking.
Now the Argon, Paranid and Split are my enemies. I thought I could use the diplomacy settings to repair my relations with the split and argon.
Can I get some clarification as to the proper use of Diplomacy and the Donation centers?
Thanks

Update v2.13
Updating: simply open the config menu. The act of opening the menu creates a bunch of necessary variables.
Added "Reset prestige to zero" to the config menu, so you can restart your military career if you want. Also added a "Prestige gain modifier" so that you can tune the difficulty of gaining prestige.
Changed a bit of takeover logic, so that trade/equipment docks are built and ore/silicon mines are not destroyed on spawning, instead they are claimed.
Fixed bug in ECS message once you become Emissary of the Xenon. Thanks to Prism for pointing it out.

Hi,
Quick questions regarding the Uplink stuff...
I joined the Boron primarily because they'd taken a bit of a hammering from the Xenon taking over their sectors. I'd been helping, but not officially so I joined up.
So, I've been hovering around in ex-Boron sectors currently owned by the Xenon, killing ships (many targeted by Boron) and generally doing good deeds. I'd hoped that after a few kills I'd be able to formally call in help, rather that wait for the Boron to invade the now unprotected sector, however despite selecting Uplink it always shows as off.
Boron are my allies, Xenon are set to Foe, I'm in a sector currently owned by the Xenon - any idea why things aren't working? Does the script not correctly see that (for example) Ocean of Fantasy is currently a Xenon occupied and owned sector?
Apologies if I've just got the wrong end of the stick somehow.
ympcylo: there's an option to show the relations for editing, enable it and you'll then see the relationship list. Can't recall the exact name at the mo and not on the gaming PC to check...
Cheers,
Scoob.

@ympcylo:
@Scoob: Do you have enough prestige points with the Boron to be able to call invasions? (value can be set in the menu), in general:
Via the menu you can change the relations between the major races to role-play a warfare scenario. In the config menu under "Invasion settings" enable "Show/enable reputation modifiers" then hit "Save options". There will now be a new menu category where you can change relations.
@Scoob: Do you have enough prestige points with the Boron to be able to call invasions? (value can be set in the menu), in general:
Requirements for calling invasion forces:
- 200 military prestige points (configurable).
- Police license with ally (except Terran and Xenon) (configurable).
- Ally must have negative notoriety with sector owner.
- Player ship must have sector owner set as enemy in friend/foe settings.

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
Will have to check my points etc. as there's obviously something wrong somewhere - I assumed I must have a reasonable amount after killing many M2 class ships but maybe not. I'll check later and likely reset everything and start again as something may have glitched somewhere.
Cheers,
Scoob.
