I think Egosoft should release enhanced builder ships in update 6.0. As they did with some ships in Update 5.0. So that each race has a unique ship.

I'm really happy about the announcement. The Borons have always been my favourite race in the X universe. If the Teladi get proper clothes again and a more mature look like they had in X - X3, then I'd be really content.

It's not that Egosoft doesn't want it. The problem is that the amount of work required is too much, considering that the constructor is probably one of, if not the least flown ship in the entire game.

The whole thing boils down to the question of what we want more of, fighters/carriers/destroyers that we actually get to use, or a facelift for constructors. For me the choice is easy.

Constructors aren't high on my list of ships to fly, it's true, but I still see them around and notice how they look. Probably not too many people manually operate their L sized miners or traders for long, either, aside from the ones with crew sizes good for boarding ops.

I don't understand why people bring this up, not like we gonna fly construction ships and they only purpose is to transport construction drones... makes sense they all look the same ^^

No, at least the factions who were detached from the gate network for a long time (like the Terrans) should have construction ships which share the same design language as their other ships. The catch word is "immersion".
