All I can suggest is to reinstall. It works for me and the others who have used it, and unfortunately I don't see there really being any tech support for it, since no knowledgable parties have time.

Make sure it is a fresh game install (having manually deleted files that un-install doesn't clean up), and a fresh download of the mod. Make sure each folder is transfered into your TC folder and that you choose "overwrite" when you drop the files in.

Ahhh... what a beautiful thing to hear, Thufir! :D Of course your offer is MOST welcome! And the suggestions are completely welcome and I totally agree there should be more races and specific Star Wars Sectors / galaxy layout. There should be Bothans, Rodians, the whole lot! :)

I also think of Star Wars when I think of X3... I am very old school, and played Rebellion (Supremecy), and the X wing vs. Tie series when they were out way back in the day, and I think X is just like X v T but with so much more to offer! I SOOOO think it should have been a Star Wars game when it was made! :) What a shame...

The seperate forum would also be very helpful. If you would like, please list it as it becomes available and I would look forward to using it!

Yep... for X3AP. However, since many of the same files are used in both games, there are several aspects of it that will appear in TC, though it is really only intended for AP.

After a long time of searchs for the background here are my results for factions and planets. Keep in mind for these two lists that this is an ideal list, the first versions won't have all of them. In example, factions will be limited to 3-4 and sectors to about 20. I prefer releasing something little and doing it step by step than being disgusted :)

Just a thought but since most people come here (egosoft forums) for modding advice for tc/ap, you may want to keep an ongoing version history, current works, future to-do list here. advertising it all with direct links to the other forum, so that those who can help you see where you're going with it, will most likely help you in the long run.

Since Zonama Sekot is a planet that is very hard to find why don't you make it unconnected from everywhere else and only let you access it by unfocused jump. It would add a real 'mysterious planet' vibe to the entire thing.
1940s - Various "computers" are "programmed" using direct wiring and switches. Engineers do this in order to avoid the tabs vs spaces debate.

Yep, you're absolutely right, thanks! One of the other voluteers offered to do just that, but didn't come through and I (we) have been concentrating on other things such that some of the most basic, obvious, and necessary details are left undone.

Thufir, I believe he is referring to a changelog and working feature update in the title post of this egosoft forum... that does not exist yet. There is a link to the dev forum, as well as instructions how to get there in the video ad, but not the other things, and I do think that would be wise to add... just the time to do it is the problem!!! :D

Thanks... just remember what is available for download is a staring point, is just there as a courtesy, and the actual described project is still being developed.

You're right, my bad english + quick read = I didn't understood :D. Indeed we need to make a refresh of the first post, as Ameer said we were just speaking about something similar on the devs forums. However for now the developpement is more about searchs than real modding.

@ imperium3 : if you are motivated you are also welcome to join us, like Vador said in the video (exclusive interview of course :o ) we need you :)

I remember playing Tie Fighter on my pc (CD version). In my eyes one of the best Star Wars games so far. It had a wonderfull depth of play on account the verbouse mission breefings as well as the mission design.

I don't think it would be possible to make a full Tie Fighter 'remake' with X3, but if I may, I suggest you to let you inspire by that game :). What do you think?
