A Serious fault has been isolated within the IR Ship Choose Algorithm that causes the GoD engine to spawn endless amounts of ships - IR:CE is unavailable for download until a fix is deployed

The Fix will be deployed as soon as i am confident i have fixed it

  • Version 1.05
  • Fixed an Error in the Ship Choose script causing the god engine to spawn massive amounts of random ships
im 99% Sure this will stop the spawning - but it wont remove the alraedy spawned ships you will need to use Cycrows cheat scripts to do that

Remember that just because you kill them once, doesn't meant there 100% gone you wil also have to go to the sector where they were build, and kill that sector a few times too - as the GoD engine likes to re spawn them

One race takes ownership of the sector and they are listed as the sector owners, but one of the other races begins to build stations there.

Example: Argon, Split, and Teladi.
1. The Split claimed "Hatikvah's Faith" but I got no claim message, even though I was there.
2. The Teladi begin to build stations in the sector. It's owned by the Split.
3. The Argon are left out but soon after they launch another assault force to "Hatikvah's Faith" but only consisting of 2 ships. The previous assault force is still 'IS' as well as the original Teladi assault force, only the Split moved on/disappeared.
4. I now have 4 slots assigned to "Hatikvah's Faith". Two from the Teladi, and two from the Argon.

I think they are confused.
Hmm, i knew i missed a work around - care to be a guinea pig?
Please download This File(Right Click, Save As) place it in your scripts folder and override the old one

Report back with the results :)

Because they have already started building more fleets to attack with, you will need to manually destroy the old ones with the cheat package, so long as the invasion target changes, or vanishes
It worked! I didn't need to destroy the old fleets or the new ones. They just vanished and the slots opened up. The only thing remaining is the Teladi Constructor Albatross and he is still 'IS' and building stations. The Split's constructor is nowhere to be found. The sector is still listed as owned by the Split.

lol, its just one of them things... The Teladi probably took over the sector first, then a second later it switched to split, after the Teladi had already initiated the eco booster :)

Nothing to worry about really

Understood. I'll ignore it. I prefer it to be owned by the Teladi anyway. At least they don't shoot all Boron ships on sight.

Um.... I'm still getting it. Just not as much, yet. Plutarch Mining Corp HQ has them. I also started a new game just to be safe and then that's when I noticed them.

EDIT: Definitely still getting it. I wiped out the whole sector and soon afterwards and entire army of ships came flooding through the east gate (CBSE).

EDIT2: Can someone else please confirm that I'm not crazy or wasting Jack's time.

EDIT3: They aren't stopping. I've cleared the target sector 7 or 8 times and they just keep coming.

I was wondering if it was possible for anyone to host a zip version of this awesome mod instead of just the spk. As I am using a Mac I cant use the community pluggin exe program and have to manually install mods. For some reason I can't convert the spk into an uncompiled format using Cycrow's mac spk tool.

Any info on how to either solve the problem or where a zip version can be found would be great!

OK. I've even deleted the target HQ, the spamming shipyard, and the swarm still returns (only now from a different shipyard), but to the sector itself and not a specific station, so removing their "homebase" doesn't cause them to stop.

Ore Belt is the first to be consumed by the ZOMBIE HORDE (of ships).

Just so Osiris knows he isn't going MAAAAAD. :3
No those are spawned by the Job's script. I'm still getting the ones with just "Argon Buster" in it's name.

And Mizuchi I prefer "Mentally Hilarious".

It's also getting worse. In the span of 20 minutes Plutarch went from owning 341 ships to 356. It may take a while, but I surmise that it will reach a point to where if I enter the sector the game will crash.

Well, now that I've had my "DERP OH RIGHT THOSE ARE THE NEW GAME UNDOCKED ESCORTS" moment (although there are still a LOT of Busters in Ore Belt that aren't docking, as per that screenshot), I can't replicate the problem.

I started a new game, jumped to an Unknown Sector, let it run on SETA until the 2 Hour mark, and... everything looks like it should look.

There's a fleet of six Yaki Akurei, two Kariudo, four Tenshi, and four Washi in Ocracoke's Storm, but I'm fairly certain those have been part of the Jobs file(s) since... well, since before Christmas.

So... I don't know. I'm letting IR:C run on default settings, though, so fighter and capital ship response(s) are off.

I can run it with some suggested settings in the morning if you like, but right now I'm too tired to coherant words together put, if you mean what I know. [ external image ]

Alright. I'll completely uninstall X3 and delete the directory and reinstall. I used the Plugin Manager to uninstall the old 1.03 version and install the 1.05 version. Maybe there is some lingering files somewhere.

Mizuchi, have you tried overwriting the "plugin.ir.invasion.manager" that Jack posted on page 4? I'm curious to see if that maybe the problem. Although I kinda doubt it.

Oh, and thanks for your help.

After a full directory wipe, re-installation of X3, and a new game, I'm still getting massive hordes.

Any info as to what the ships are related to? Home ship, race etc...

They are listed as owned by the various corporations with there homebase set to the that corporation's HQ. The fly to the HQ and clog up the sector. It never stops. The GoD engine is adding more and more ships to each HQ. In the last attempt I had over 700 ships just in the Ore Belt. The picture posted earlier shows how they are named. Nothing specific, just "Argon Buster", "Argon Mako", and etc. It's affects all the races.
