Commercial Agent Help Topic
Ok i Have a Super Mercury Freighter With mk2 and m3 trading software and navigation software like it said well the Trading software M1 comes with the frieghter as u all know. I Set the Freighter to the homebase of my drone Factory. Docked the frieghter in the drone factory went into the command console and went to trade and find no `Start Commerical Represention` .
What am i doing wrong ?
Im sure some people are having the same problem.

If you are in the ship, you need to get out to let a trade pilot in. Other than that possibility I cannot see any likely problem.
You really should ask about CAG problems in this thread http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=275924 or for their normal use in the X-Universe forum since Bonus Pack is pretty much vanilla now:

Probably if the ST script is still running, because they will use different trader pilots maybe. The ship must be docked and inactive to get the CAG offer so perhaps being on ST standby doesn't count as inactive even if docked. Try giving command 'none' while docked at your drone factory and then see.

Also, you have to be at least on rank TRADER for command to appear...Maxumous wrote:well i tried a new pilot ,ok seems like i after start from reinstalling the game then updates then add bonus pack and start a new game.

I have lost 12 CAGs in Xenon Sector 598.Friend/Foe:
Commercial Agents do not trade in sectors belonging to a race set to ``Foe''. ``Show as enemy if enemy to me'' should be set to ``No''. A pilot without Jumpdrive will not fly through hostile sectors.
Why?
They should not be flying through these sectors because Xenon is set to foe. And they have jumpdrives anyway so they should be using those right?
I can't figure out why all my CAGs fo to 598 and commit suicide.

Ooopsss... sorry, my bad! This is for EST... I assume you have libraries installed, right? If yes, then it should work then. And yes, it doesn't matter if your game *modified* or not...Maxumous wrote:NO just look its not that ,Can it be that it say in pilot detail on the bottom, **Modified** and would i need to start a fresh game ?

This is a question that covers all of Lucike's bonus pack scripts (CLS/CAG).
When fitting out a new ship for CAG/CLS duties. If I place Fighter Drone Mk2 into the cargo hold will the trained pilot see those and not go buy the Mk1 version?
Takeing things a step further. Will these pilots also throw the Mk2 version over the side when attacked if both drone types are in the cargo hold? I'm haveing some really evil ideas with Chokaro CAGs ATM.

I have a question. In the trade duties settings, what do the levels mean? Are they percents? Ie, setting "purchase resources" to 80 means purchase resources up to 80% of the total capacity?
These days I mainly just talk to plants and dogs,
all human contact seems painful, risky, odd,
so I stay acting god in my own X-Universe!

Does anyone understand CAG station settings?
Because I don't!
The station settings
The station settings are divided into four areas.
The first section is operations. The station's production can be turned on or off. The production status is displayed after the station's name. Equipment or Trading Docks have no production to toggle, if the station is a Dock the station's production indicator will say "Dock".
The second section provides the opportunity of an enhanced money transfer to the station's account. The transfer option includes the usual transfer method to the player's account, to an account of another station or to a separate account which can hold much more than just the known 2 billion credits.
Does this overide the usual method? What is the purpose of the sub account? Can someone give me an example where it might actually be useful?
With the menu item ``Transfer'' the regularly money transfer gets activated. The status of this option can be seen right behind that option.
Don't understand this. What is this 'regularly money transfer'? Is money getting regularly transferred or is it just a way of putting money in the station account like you do normally?
To transfer money from the separate account to the player account the menu item ``Transfer from separate account'' will be used. The value of this transfer can be chosen from a list or manually.
Don't understand this either! Is the money transferred straight away? Which separate account is it talking about? Does it mean the sub account? There seems to be some mixed terminology here.
The destination of the money transfer from the station's account is chosen from the ``Transfer destination'' menu item. This provides the opportunity to transfer money to the player's account, another station account or to the separate account.
I get this I think but if you select the station and have already set an upper limit on the station does money get put back into the station account until it reaches that limit then goes into the player or separate account account?
When the money should remain on the station's account a minimum value needs to be chosen in the transfer conditions. Same as before it can be chosen from a list or by entering the value manually.
I don't think I understand this either. Is this a minimum transfer or a minimum amount in the account before a transfer occurs (not the same thing at all)? Is this the same as the upper limit setting you can define outside the CAG station settings?
The third section is pricing. Here automatic goods pricing can be enabled, and the status of the automatic price setting is displayed. The prices at the station can also be reset to the average price here.
The fourth section displays all of the station's resources and products. Choosing one of the wares on the list allows you to set a range for the automatic pricing system. The first is minimum and the second is maximum. Automatic price setting will not affect wares with only one set price.
Now I understand how to do this, but does anyone do it? If you do this is it possible that your factory will end up making a loss? Whenever I've set this it seems to me I end up pumping whomungus amounts of money into the factory with no return. Is it better than the one credit below average for buying and one above for selling which was the norm before. How does this affect your profits if other ships CAGS are visiting your station?
Apologies for the denseness of my head. x3tc is hard! Any general guidance on sensible station settings would be appreciated.

Is it possible to disable/bypass the whole levelling process? I have the bonus pack version installed, is there a quick-and-dirty method to simply have all pilots start out at max level? Much like the ST/UT thing, I really, REALLY despise personel management in X3TC, and I'm utterly unconcerned with "balance" issues.
I love the script dearly, but the whole levelling process thing just drives me nuts. I want to be able to set up everything as i want it in one shot, and not worry about having a bunch of ships doing limited duties before they learn how to, say, sell something.
I get why it's there, and I know a lot of people are really into it, just not me
