It's a normal internal dock like in X³:TC. You can also dock internally, but there is no modelled internal hangar to fly through, like in X².
I miss the old X² internal docks... Those were awesome!

Any chance of doing this (adding a hanger bay) to an Equipment dock to give it fighter defense?

EDIT: Converted into a .SPK file for easy installation with Cycrow's Installer.

Not by me ... as I retired from active modding.

You may ask someone else ...

... or you may want to take a look onto my "enhanced Equipment Docks" Mod ... there you can buy military outpost's, which have internal docking ... and also all eEQ's have flexible storage room in different sizes.

Cool and thanks for the reply. Was a thought, I looked the other docks and were just a bit more than I was hoping for. I edited my last post and converted your fake patch into a .spk file compatible to Cycrow's Installer in case you want to include the file in your front page. :) Awesome work!

I just downloaded my .zip file to test and it worked correctly, so it may have been only a temporary problem.

For your question, I don't have X³:TC 3.1.1 as I don't use STEAM to play the game. But, this mod only modifies the model- and scene-file for the complex hub, so I think it's very unlikely, that there are compatibility issues with X³:TC 3.1.1 or any other (older, and also even future ones) version of the game. I don't think that a patch will alter the comeplex hub itself anytime, as there seems to be no reason (bug, etc.) for that to be happen.

I have been playing with this for a while on Steam and can confirm that, to date it works and has not caused me any problems or **modified** markers.

It makes jump starting complexes with TL full of energy so much easier.

I had a problem today that I think was related to this.

I'm playing an unmodified DiD game. The only other things I have are the bonus pack scripts, the no tubes script, and the Aldrin asteroid remover.

After installing this, I tried to dock in The Hub (the mission, not this script) for the first time. I used the docking computer to do the insta-dock, and realized I was -inside- the hub. I knew what was coming before there was anything I could do, and sure enough, when I undocked I instantly exploded from the impact.

I've never experienced this behavior before, and the only thing I can think that might have caused it is this script somehow causing differently aligned docking ports in The Hub.

I guess, you mean me ...

... and no, as I see no reason to spend money for something like AP, especially if I read the reports about a very short storyline and missing TC-missions.

I don't want to support Egosoft in changing their "free new contents for all" into "only new contents as DLC if you pay for it" behaviour.


But this mod may work with AP anyway, as only scene-files got modified. You may try, I can't tell you.

Tried adding the .spk as a fake patch and, once installed, all of my save games read as invalid. Disabling the patch didn't even work--I had to completely uninstall it for the same to work.

Going to dig in a little more. Maybe I can get it working, but wanted to report the problem.

Edit:

Got it. More than "advised", I had to save OOS for it to load correctly.So any save games made in a sector with a complex, while installing the patch, will be invalid.

Hi,

This doesn't seem to work for AP. is there an AP version of it? if not can you please make one? ( I know am asking allot but I really loved this in TC)

It works like a charm for me with AP. I had it deployed in TC folder though from my older TC game and it just got picked up from there. When I started an AP game, I got the enhanced hub right away with no additional steps.

How did you install it? I have the steam version of both. I put it in the X3TC folder ( the AP should be mixed in with it too but I dont know where) it works on TC but dont know how to install it for AP...

sur AP tu pourrais décrire svp parce que la j'arrive pas du tout avec le pluginmanager SVP :oops:

I used the .SPK version. Plugin Manager installed it correctly.

This works both with TC and AP.
