Well for a data point here's some high-res versions on a 'older' computer (Asus P5W64 WS Pro, 8GB Ram, Intel QX6850 (3ghz/1333fsb), GTX280, all running at stock speeds for comparison sake.

Looks to be on average about 2/3 the speed of X3:R and just like X3:R very limited by CPU and/or the fact it's using just one core:

Have you checked the nv ctrl panel for this exe? If it's not there you'll want to create your own profile (something I miss dearly since going ati! :x )

If you haven't already done so, OC that CPU. That older GTS is holding you back as well. I suggest a 4850 if you're on a budget.

I'm using AFR2 on X3TC, via a custom profile, since day 1. What I've seen however, is that there are quite some times in the game, where it acts as if like the 2nd card isn't there at all.

Do'h !

For some reason the soundtrack isn't playing, all I get is a static electrical sound. I've updated my sound card drivers for my Realtek High Definition Audio - and it hasn't solved the problem. I went to the soundtrack folder and the 4 tracks play ok in media player. Now I'm scratching my head thinking what it could be . . .

I'll also have to post the benchmark results later on.

Anyway, nice demo that showcases the game well. I'll be showing a friend this demo later on.

My processor is actually overclocked to 3.4GHz. I am reasonably impressed with this, as I bought this machine mainly to run X3:TC.

Most times things are great and even combat is smooth but I still suffer from freezes where everything stopps for 1 to 5 seconds and then it is fine again.
I have to admit I have not got into "really" heavy combat, as once the screen fills with Red I tend to die fairly quickly in my M3, and I go off to find an easier mission.

Oh crud. Atleast I don't have the crappies rig. But it's still piece of crap. Even a Notebook (old?) is running TC better than my rig.
