interesting how predictable pirates can be...

now, question. Would C3 be able to manufacture this Omega Glory weapon based only on the papers acquired by SV, or would they need more? Like, the Ancient artifact itself? Or technology only accessible in Paranid/Boron/Xenon/Khaak coffers?

Well, I wrote them in as an NPC faction on pretty much an even footing with Gencore. As Gencore would have the resources to pull an Omega out of the bag, I guess C3 would as well.

Hence, Gardna going 'Um... need a hand?' in the general direction of AJK

With their abilities, yes they would be able to make the weapon. However it would take a reasonable ammount of time, and since it was never even tested beyond paper and simulations, it would need a lot of active testing. *Hint hint, nudge, nudge*

eh... well, I wouldn't fret it too bad. You're in a position where you could jump in and make something huge happen, or present some terrible and shocking revelation, or otherwise twist things up nicely.

I should post shortly, but one thing I need to clear up (Probably shouldn't effect the next post) is that, is Adrian trapped inside the Minefield? Or just unable to get in? GTA will send a rescue mission, and in fact I've even had thought of incorperating it into my own storyline.

Also, SOTS, in this case, C3 would view the Omega Glory as the most important information in the entire universe, so they would go to truely outragous means to protect it. It certainly wouldn't be a lone copy on a security desk, or secreted away in some ulta-mega-hyper-above-ultra-secret-ristricted data-bank. You'd have copies, and ingenious ways to hide said copies.

What, Achilles didn't count as outrageous? You did, after all, build it a kilometre into the bedrock. With 2GJ of shielding. And anti-air and -orbit batteries.

Gardna, while boringly average-looking, is stubborn as... well, me. He wouldn't admit defeat. If he found one, learned of copies, and couldn't find copies, he wouldn't come to you with a 'Job Done' until he'd tracked the last one down.

I'll have a think about those ingenious ways, though. Could get interesting. And, probably, another interminably long post again

@ AJK, there might be a small attempt to escape the field that goes badly... remember that Walse and Walkure flights are still formed up on the Cossack, so nudging in any direction could be disastrous. (the reason they got in is the minefield doesn't activate until you're inside it... it's a space cage, basically. I should probably have said that, though.

@ Fiksal, short version- Adrian's trapped in a minefield set by his former wingman T'ach who (unbeknownst to Adrian) has defected and joined the Barony of Danna's Chance, a well-endorsed pirate faction who has for unknown reasons initiated a large scale attack on the flagship of AJK's Gencore, which is initiating a gigantic search and recover operation in order to retrieve the plans for a doomsday weapon that Dan Gardna (SOTS) stole and delivered to another company called C3, whose motive and ties are as of yet unknown.

There should be a little T'ach vs. Thrk heat happening in the near future...

they're both Chins, so they both have a head on their shoulders.

The item is of unknown to Marcus origin too, so I am not opposed to the idea of making it somehow important to your factions. But what can it be?

Sure thing, edit in progress. ^^ Do keep in mind, though... Dantus did switch Nibelung Flight's ship ID's with the ship ID's of six Walse and Walkure squadron vessels. So she might originally think Adrian's behind the theft of those Gencore containers. As such, she may rescue him, but it might (at first) be in the interest of taking him into custody until he can prove his (relative) innocence.

In our slightly mangled universe (in which the planets in each sector are actually accessibly close

) Hatikvah 1 and its moon are not quite within scanning distance if you pass from the East to West gate, or vice versa. You're in no danger from the field, but as one mine was just set off, you might see that happen at a distance...
