Bergkamp wrote:Hey, was looking at previous posts about the "command rejected, command accepted" message and nothing happening but didn't really see a solution. This is the only script I have tried to install except sector planner which won't be a problem. I have checked that the files are in the right folders.

BTW I'm using the latest patch and bonus pack. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
When are you getting the message?

What are you trying to dock?

I'm trying to dock a demeter on my hercules. The message comes straight after I go through the demeter's command menu and select my TL. Very frustrating.

I was getting the message when I was trying to dock an M3 in a an M7, which is not what you are doing, I didn't know it's for M1s and TLs only.

Apricotslice said the version available on the script page was an older one, so I followed his advice:

I downloaded the gunbus mod, found the newer beamdock scripts, removed the older ones from the script directory and overwritten the 448686.pck file. (Let me know if you need more info about how I did that)

I don't have the problem since but I don't know what fixed for sure.

Yea, had a look at that mod but wasn't sure what I needed from it, so if you could give me a quick run through it that'd be great.

1 - Downloaded Gunbus Mod from http://apricotmappingservice.com/gunbus.html

I downloaded the one for XTM users, but I don't think that matters if you only use the beam dock script.

2 - I extracted the folder in a temp place.

3 - I used these files:

From the scripts Folder(Gunbus) to the X3 "script" folder:

apricot.beamdock.xml
setup.apricot.beamdock.xml

from the T Folder(Gunbus) to the X3 "t" folder:

448686.pck

---

Hope this help.

Do you have DockTL script installed ? This was the original script, and they will conflict. If so, remove the 2 scripts for docktl from the scripts directory.

Also, you do have an empty slot on the TL ? ie. its not full ?

Your not in the Demeter are you ?

Can you step by step the process of doing the command ? What ship your on, how you find the command, how it executes etc. Might be something simple.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but I was having the same problem after I bought a spanking new M1 for carrying my caps.

I couldn't BeamDock anything onto my TL even though I had being doing so for ages with no problems when I realised I'd taken the Transporter Device off my TL to put on the M1.

So, getting to the point, have u got a Transporter on the TL?

Hmm, I seem to be having problem installing the newer version from the gunbus mod as everytime I load the game with the new script installed, the game crashes, but as soon as I remove the script, the game loads just fine. Any ideas on how to fix this? I looked at the setup script and nothing seems amiss =/

What the difference between the older version here and the newer version in the Gunbus mod? Thanks!

That surprises me. I wouldnt have thought a script could make the game crash.

I'm assuming you are talking gunbus v3a ?

The newer version has no range limit, if the ship is on the nav map, you can beam it.

Also, the newer version will allow ships to be beamed onto an M2 if it has dock space.

Prom memory, the scripts have different names. Make sure you remove the old scripts. I would expect that to cause a readtext error, not crashing though.

The new scripts are named setup.apricot.beamdock.xml and apricot.beamdock.xml.

The old ones are named setup.beamdock.xml and plugin.beamdock.xml. Remove the old ones.

I don't even have the old ones =/ I just remembered this script from the last time I've had X3 installed, after getting my ships blown up too many times after capping them in a hostile sector. That's why I looked up this script. And yes, it's the V3A version.

The only anomaly I can remember about the script is that I detected numerous conflicts in the plugin manager after I installed it.

Which scripts is it conflicting with ?

I had a lot of conflict that said the follow

Code: Select all

COMMAND_XXX:
|-----8686
|-----file
Sensing that may be a textfile error I extracted the .txt file from the .pck and then made a new .xml, so that I could trim the textfile down and delete the unnecessary/unused commands to avoid other conflicts. Doing that, the conflicts went away, but the game crashed still. Couple it be the setup script? Last time I had tried to enable the script in pluging manager while the game was loaded, and I was able to load the script (the command script and the setup script) through the script editor manually and then run is manually without any crashes. It would only crash if the game was loaded. I'll try and add a wait command to the setup script to see if delaying the setup might help =/

Try using the 448686 file from the old version instead.

The latest one has other scripts text in it, a few of which very likely conflict with something else.

The command slot didnt change, just the scripts. So the old text file should work.

Does it tell you what conflicted with what ?

No, it just said conflict 8686 and something called "file", in the plugin manager.

I trimmed down the textfile from the new one manually, leaving just the command names (t id: 2008 2010 and such), and added wait 1500 m in the beginning of the setup file, and "wait 500 m" in between registration of the beamdock command for every class of ships (so pretty much every two script lines/command that sets the command key and whatnot). I'm happy to report that it works just fine now, and the game loaded successfully =)

When you figure out why that works, please explain it to me !

 Well the reason I added the "wait" is because I figure that maybe giving too many instructions (not just checks and setting variables, but setting commands up for player) at a single time without allow the system some break in between might cause it to either lock up or crash (like a ill-written while loop or go to label loop that are supposed to actually do stuff to things in the game, but don't have a break in between). So basically...too fast -> not good -> give it some time.

Either that or it was the textfiles, I really didn't mind too much as long as it worked :P

But then I guess you already know those reasons :p

I've updated the download links to the V3a version.

On my HQ, I've also added downloads to the Container Beam, Jump to Derelict Commands, and random derelict ship creation scripts. But none of them are official scripts so dont warrant their own thread or listing in the sticky.

Container Beam slurps up all containers on your nav map in a single click/press.

Jump to Derelict jumps you to a random derelict ship. This is a blind jump with no checking for mad thrillseekers :D

Create Derelict ship is 12 identical scripts for creating a single ship each in a random location. delete some to get less, add some to get more. Adding is done each time you start the game.

Ooops, sorry about that.

The original version was on my main site, but I put the new version on the new AMS domain, and didnt change the link properly.

I've updated the link in the OP.
