Hi halo112358,
The answer is yes and no...
This will work perfectly well between ships docked at a carrier or TL, but not from or to the carrier itself.
To transfer the MD ammo, you would have to put the required amount into one ship using standard freight transfer, then use the "50 M3" command on that ship, selecting MD ammo from the pick list. The ammo would then be distributed.
SCRAP to TL or carrier will not work, but the standard freight transfer will work with all wares and fittings - except Cargo bay extensions, Engine tunings, and Rudder Optimisation - these could be transferred via the SCRAP command to a special ship kept for this purpose.. Putting them on the TL/carrier would not work for Cargo bay extensions, for example.
Your question raises the possibility of a future 'improvement' - but I will have to think of a way to handle those three special exceptions - possibly a special Cargo, Engine, Rudder store.... no promises though - depends on demand and how difficult it is to implement.. might have a few ideas already...
Enjoy,
Boron - Ol Fh'art

make that 10
i also very much enjoy your scripts after discovering them. by the way would it be possible to update the .spk's you have? with crycrow's new xscript installer coming out they will not install due to the scripts being compressed in the old format and he said he was not going to support due to added time and overhead it would cost to add that function back in

Hi draffutt,
It does not matter where the ships are docked, as long as two ships are docked at the same location - any ship or station - the transfer is available between those two docked ships.
I just checked, and docked two ships at a Hyperion, and the command is available. With one ship docked, the command is not there - working as designed..
The command is not available from a docked ship to the mother ship - the standard Freight Exchange is meant to be used.
You did have two ships docked at your M7??

Hey BOF,
This script is freaking awesome man. I use it primarily to equip my fleet without having to repetitively do it myself. It would be awesome if there was a way to save the stuff i transfer into user defined templates. Like for example, I can name one "Anti fighter centaur" will transfer 3x125MJ shields and 11 BPACs to all M6 docked. "Capitol ship killer" could load 40xGPPs, 9x1GJ shields, and 50xFirestorm torpedoes to all M2s. All of this is possible with the current version, but you gotta do it 1 by 1. I was wondering if you could store commands in an array or something and run them one by one.

Hi bowl_of_rice,
I agree that it would be very useful to have pre-defined templates for transferring wares, I have been looking at this for some time.. The biggest problem is trying to get user input - the name of the template, and the wares required. The available user interface is not much good for this - all inputs required would have to be by the incoming question method, which is, as you know, rather 'klunky'.. and I do not find it 'elegant'.
When I can come up with something that is fairly usable, it will be added, but do not hold your breath - it could take a while....
Glad that you like the script,

Hi SpFiota,
The Readme explains it all - and I mean all. The 'problem' is that there are many options....
The simplest thing to do is to load up a saved game, play with this script for a while, and not save....
When any two or more ships are docked at the same location:-
- select the ship that you want to transfer a ware from (the From ship)
- go to the 'Custom' commands and select 'Remote Docked Freight/Upgrade Transfer'
- you will get an option to enter a string
- enter a number (test with 100, for example)
- you will then get an incoming message - so you will have to go and look at your messages, there you will find a menu of the wares aboard the 'From ship'
- select the ware that you want to transfer
- if there is only one other ship docked, you will get a message saying how much of the ware was transfered.
- if there are more than one other ship docked, then you will get a list of the other ships docked - select the one to receive the ware, you will get a message saying how much of the ware was transfered.
Try this a few times (without saving) until you can transfer wares from one ship to another, and back again.... the help system is also quite good - type 'help' as your entry
Once you are familiar with this, you can enter the complete command as the input string - e.g. '100 e' will transfer 100 ecells to the other ship..
This covers the basic transfer of a ware (any ware, those that you can transfer normally, and any ship extension). You can also transfer all wares from one ship to another using the 'Scrap' command, or use 'Share' to transfer a set number of a ware to other docked ships...
The main problem is that a player is only allowed to enter data for a script when it is first started (where you enter the '100' in the above test), from then on the only way of getting any input from the player is by the 'incoming message' command. This means that you have to go and look at the message log.
The other problem with the incoming message is that all the messages are written to the logbook... and I mean all.
I am working on an updated version of this script, which is much simpler to use, and does not write to the logbook - but work on this has been delayed due to the death of my mother - I am busy sorting out all the paperwork etc.
I hope that this has helped explain why the Readme is a bit 'dense', and I hope that this post is not too confusing - if you have any more questions/problems, please ask and I will try to explain.

Scrap all other ships' wares ?
How about add 'scrap all others to [sid or select a ship]' command for
specified ship to receive all other docked ships' wares, extensions and software ?
It might be cool ........

Hi wga,
Sorry, it won't be happening. I am now playing with X3:TC....
Well, I won't be adding this in the near future - of course, someone else could add it...
I was looking at storing the spare tunings etc. in Containers aboard a ship .. could be done, but the available interface is very messy and not very convenient to use. (TC has a few new commands that make this sort of thing a bit easier and tidier)..
Glad to see that it is still being used, and thank you for your suggestion.
