This works fine for me, took a while to figure out, but now ive got it down to an art :P.

Piece of cake to hire pilots, and give them orders (Fire at will..etc)

Would've been nice to include the readme in the .rar/.zip though.

But anyway, thanks so much for making this BaloGT, been waiting for something like this for a long time.

Again, thanks alot!.

I've got my pilots hired now, and I have an M6 and two M3's patrolling. My only problem is, when I look at that ships stats, it shows the pilot as being some Teladi or Paranid name, and it doesn't say Private in front of it. I know the pilot is in there, because it says so in the report, and all the pilots I have hired are Argon. I think the problem is I had the Leveling AI script, and that changed the names, and I unistalled it but the names stayed.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

The only thing which will remain after uninstalling leveling AI is the "(n)" after the pilot names of every ship you used with my script. If you hired pilots with this script, there are great chances that their names have been generated anew and then erased Leveling Ai's pilot name.

It's probably something to do with the way I've installed this script and uninstalled the other script maybe? Before either script all my ships had my name on, but after the Leveling AI script they all changed. Now they have stayed there. I have a TP with a pilot in, and his name shows up on the details. It is only the fighting ships that they have random names.

edit: After having another look, it is only the M3's that have random names, the M6 is now showing up normally. But this leads me to another question. Do they stay private for ever, or can they gain rank?
Thanks

edit 2: OK, I've sorted the problem now. After I get a report off them, there names appear normally.

If you deleted all files included in the zip of leveling AI and restored your original files, or used x-script manager correctly, there can't be any problem with any ship or pilot you baught after uninstalling my script.

edit: after reading your edit, this is definitely not coming from my script. Have a good day ;)

Thanks, sorry I accused your script, it just seemed like a likely suspect :P

This seems like a script I might install. But is there a proper readme (with list of all the changes, commands, etc.) + "how to install" somewhere? Except from the post on the second page of this thread that is?

@Balogt: It seems to me you have put much effort in this script, and as said, it definitely looks promising. But I think it would have much more succes and back-up from the community, if you have a good explanation of what this exactly does in the first post (like most scripts here do).

Did the original have a readme? I searched the X2 forums but I couldn't find anything on this script. Do you have a link?

Thanks

Report Status:
This command becomes available on all ships once the CCSE is installed. You can enter the command menu of any ship and recieve a status report detailing loadouts and system configurations. If a pilot is aboard this ship you will recieve a more detailed report from him/her personally. Important note...this will cancel what ever command the ship or pilot is currently executing.
No matter what I try I still cant get this to work, has anyone managed to get a detailed report ????. I can manage a basic report (R) but nothing else ????

Maybe you have to have the CCSE installed on the ship you want to get a report of too?

But AFAIK the Pilot command, report (=R) does the same as a report status. The only two differences are that (R) doesn't interrupt what the ship is doing. And report status can get a report from a ship without a pilot in it too.
So, if you get a report via (R), I think that is the detailed report ('cause it mentiones the stats of the pilot too).

Request time :P :
* Will there be further enhancements of this script in the future?
* If so, would it be possible to add a few command, for example, being able to perform sector patrols with M3/M4/M5 that have the pilots on board?
