Nearly right, only the Stations,Complexes & Docks need to be in Adv Sat range. The Nodes & Relays use the Adv Sats to pinpoint the stations position, they know where they themselves are.stealthhammer wrote:War, sorry for not posting about ya. I just did a quick glance.
The way I understand this is if the node is within range of the relay it should work and the Adv Sat is in range of the relay and stations.
A Relay can only be linked to one Node.
A Station can only link to one Node or Relay (next beta version)
I've kept the T file down to a few lines but god there's been a lot of changes to the scriptstealthhammer wrote: Ya only a few lines more...cus of me Sorry folks...
What about the 0/0? And get my save to work?

I need your save file first

Hi i really like the idea of FDN and want to make it work for me, however i am new to XT3TC and scripting too.
Problem:
I have installed FDN v3.1, it shows as running in AL settings, I can buy the nodes etc at shipyards, HOWEVER the relays do not have real names (they are called readtext17 300029 and readtext17 300031) and if i buy or script any of these items in place i cant find any menus similar to those show in the manual.
the cat and dat files are renamed to follow my game files, nothing in mods folder, fix01 installed and chem string also installed.
Please can someone help really cant wait to use this mod!! Jon

The readtext17 error is because the game is not seeing the t file.jonnyboyxt3 wrote:Hi i really like the idea of FDN and want to make it work for me, however i am new to XT3TC and scripting too.

There is on in the Cat files but there have been changes to the t file in the subsequent fixes. Try reloading the .spk file, sometimes this will clear the issue.
You can check to see if the t file is there, its 9910 and should in the t folder under the game directory.

Ok I am running into something wierd. I just did a clean install of X3TC and installed a few mods when I noticed a mod was giving me a ReadText9910-102 for an AL plugin name, on off would give me a ReadText9910-106 or 107 at the bottom of the screen. I narrowed it down to FDN as the source but I do not recall having anything there on my previous install (with FDN). Is there an AL part to FDN that could be messing up?

Very strangeStormMagi wrote:It is still there even after uninstall, game running and reinstall. I am running the 2/22/09 version.

I hope to upload the new update tomorrow so there will be a new .spk file.
I have not personally have the readtext error but there have been a couple of reports

That is the only place I see it. Since I just started with a clean install I am having to start from scratch so I have no idea if it will/would affect functionality. But it sounds like you have a new version coming up so I will be ready to test that tomorrowLogain Abler wrote:Very strangeStormMagi wrote:It is still there even after uninstall, game running and reinstall. On a side node, how does FDN handle unlinked sectors like Aldrin? (although I am not sure if we will have to worry about that in 2.0)
