Hello guys,
i would love to play your mod, however there's a problem that keeps popping up...
First i tried to install the game to my steam X3:TC, so i downloaded the game (german language), autoupdated it, installed the mod 2.0, downloaded the patch 2.2 and the hotfix 2.2a for the mod, installed/unpacked both to the TC directory.
When i started the game, the main menu and the choosable stories are all NEW, and when i actually find myself in space, everthing seems new, HOWEVER EVERY text message or mission discription is only "readText" like in this picture:
http://s14.directupload.net/file/d/3445 ... 39_jpg.htm
http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/3445/xlih96i7_jpg.htm
Then, as a solution, i deinstalled the game, re-downloaded it via steam, copied all the files to a new directory, installed the official patch 3.1.1 -> 3.2 over it, installed mod again, patch, hotfix -> same problem. what can i do?
EDIT: Found a solution: create a shortcut to the X3-TC.exe, Right Click-> "Properties" and add behind the Target path -language 44
Example:"G:\games\X3 Terran Conflict\X3TC.exe" -language 44
Now it's in english and the error is gone

well i used icon in new folder i copied all of TC to150147 wrote:If you are clicking the icon on your desktop, then this will be the shortcut to your steam game. you need to click on the X3TC App in the appropriate (new) game folder.
i think i did extraction correctly because it contain more cat / dat files than one in original steam folder it have two more..
but it still dials game thru steam and i don't see -No steam start- in ego download section for TC only AP one and that works it don't dial AP from steam folder i am just not sure can i use that fix to run TC or something else is a problem.....
So i have fresh copy of X3TC 3.2c installed then copied to another location extracted extended there got two new cat dat files but game still dials thru steam and is vanilla.

Just checked this mod for both TC and AP but when i start the game its not possible for me to fire.
I have browsed a bit through the manual but did not really find anything, also not planning on reading through the whole thing and looking through the whole topic for something this simple.
So is it disabled at the start that you can't fire or is this caused by a bug?
And yes i have this with both TC and AP.

I hadn't played X in a good long while (mostly cause it single-handedly lowered my GPA by 2 or 3 tenths), I vanished from the forums (not like anyone knew I was ever here anyway) and thought I was totally done until Rebirth. Well......we all know how that turned out. So I came back here, and I was so stoked to see the final build for XTC!
I've been playing it like a fool the last 2 days for maybe 11 hours total, picked the Unlucky Gambler start, and its been a blast. After doing pathetic e-cell runs I finally found a bailed Pirate Kestrel, and have been zipping around Boron space assassinating fools left and right. Then this morning I'm in aspiring hope, found another bailed craft and was in the process of claiming it when out comes some more pirates from the shark base. My poor claimed ship has no chance, so I use my kestrel to distract and kite them away from it for as long as I can until some security forces come in to bail me out. Then I see it, or I should say....THEM. The Khaak, 4 clusters of them. Shit got real very very fast, lol. At this point theres a three way brawl, every security ship in the sector comes, I've got a whole page of Khaak scouts and heavy interceptors on my sector map. I again am bobbin and weavin, using my afterburner to get in and out of weapon range, kite whom I can. It was literally a nonstop fight for 40 minutes, I barely survived with like 22 percent hull because I ran into some friendly fire and boosted out before someone finished me off. THANK YOU GUYS IMMENSELY. The new universe, the ships, the weapons, the race specific stations, the more active pirates and yaki, just all of it really. Still wish I could put the repair laser on for normal difficulty but hey as long as npcs bail occasionally its all good.

Custom Betty voiceovers (ships and stations) doesn't seem to work in my game. Except sector names when you're entering sector.
All vanilla TC voiceovers (including those which weren't used for vanilla, like corporation names) are fine.
My install:
- Clean English TC 3.2 (tried with Steam and No-Steam versions)
- XTC 2.0
- Patch 2.2
- Hotfix 2.2
What and where can be wrong?

I just started playing AP for the first time after not playing x3 for a few years, and im enjoying the X-T mod.
Its been working well so far, though ive only played a few hours so im yet to see a lot of the content and whether its working in the current experimental version.
I dont expect the creators of this mod to guarantee compatibility with other scripts, but i would like to know if anyone has got them working.
Can anyone share whether they think i could run something like CODEA (my favorite carrier command software) with this mod?

I'm having the same issue, and have the exact same setup installed.biohazard15 wrote:Custom Betty voiceovers (ships and stations) doesn't seem to work in my game. Except sector names when you're entering sector.

If you can't fire while playing AP version then you probably missed the hotfixDaisai wrote:I ak not able to check for the next couple of days but i have not installed any other mods/scripts.zazie wrote:Never heard of such a bug. Im not sure if this is a vanilla AP problem, but when i was looking at ships in the system i was scouting, i saw this:

(edit: not sure what imagehosting is allowed on these forums, can change if needed)
Its a shame, as it was one of my favourite ships in the last game (graphically more than anything else)

In light of XR medium failure to impress (let's call it this way) I jumped back to Xtended. I will try 2.2 for the first time. Played (religiously) earlier 1.x and enjoyed it very much.
In short Xtended is what XR should be. Humongous improvement over TC and that's enough.
Did already trial run of 2.2 and oh my. So refreshing from mess that XR is. Everything where should be and how should be. Even my old profile works perfect (just copied whole DIR)
Great job guys

Hi have installed the mod and am thus far enjoying it, however I really enjoyed having the official bonus mod content. so... my question.
Does the Xtended mod include the official bonus content mods and if not is it ok to install the egosoft official bonus content mods after the Xtended mod is installed.
Thanks

Bonus pack is incompatible, it'll mess up your game if you'll install it (as I found out the hard way). xtc has it's own engine boost, as for the rest - you can try install individual scripts from the script index page, they may or may not function properly or cause problems. This thread could be of some help.skipp wrote:Hi have installed the mod and am thus far enjoying it, however I really enjoyed having the official bonus mod content. so... my question.

Has anyone been able to use it with the Linux edition of X3TC/AP? I set up a VM with Steam-for-Linux for testing and most things work fine. However, TC segfaults and AP has little to none Artificial Life and no gates and stations. Some of the problems are related to texture errors in both. The procedure was to extract the data from the TC PE file, and install according to the instructions (TC in general folder, AP in addon folder, both patched to 2.2 - including hotfixes -, overriding existing files and using fake patches).
