I'm sorry to post this seemingly silly question, but... it's the only one I'll ask. Where can I find the Xtended manual? The in-game start message says to be sure to read it so as to avoid posting silly questions on the forum. Bet you didn't see me coming though hey?

Anyways, this mod is great. The videos and screenies all look superb and the new ships look fantastic! I can't wait to delve right in, after I read the manual a bit first!

Also, I used to play a lot when TC first came out and was a regular on the forums. It's really great to come back and see the community is still so strong.

Keep up the great work everyone!

I'm getting the default x3ap music playing on the menu screen of the AP experimental and every sector is playing argon prime's music. Vanilla combat music also plays. I did a fresh install of x3ap 3.1 with no bonus pack. I moved the game folder out of steam and I am using the no steam exe. I installed xtc 2.0 > xtc 2.2 patch > xtc 2.2a hotfix > ap experimental 2.2 > ap 2.2a hotfix. Nothing else installed.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and getting the same results.

Hard to believe your still going KJ! Great work to everyone still involved with the mod. Is there some kind of noble prize for dedication? You should be given one :D

With rebirth coming up I got excited and started looking through my old files, uploaded some of the shots I took ages ago here. Shots can function as wallpapers :)

Hi I just bought the Motion analysis relay system onto my m6 but not to sure how to run it ? Im playing XTC mod and am guessing that its already in the mod but not sure how to find hotkey to use it or do I have to install MARS separately to use it ?

mars doesnt require a shipupgrade
And you have to install it seperately.

I am running XTC version 1.2. I want to upgrade this version to 2.0. Do I have to uninstall my current version of X3:TC/XTC to do this or will it simply upgrade my 1.2 version straight to 2.0 without any problems. Will I also be able to still play my saved 1.2 game ??

Anyone write any guides for this mod yet? I can't find any specifically for the TC 2.0 version. Lots of patch changelogs and such but no guides. Can I start jamming on one or is this a waste of time?

I just feel like there isn't any point reading a guide written for a vanilla version when everything is so different.

@redmizura: If you want to enjoy playing XTC you must know X3TC very well. XTC uses the same engine but the game-play itself is more demanding on normal or higher game-levels. So if you want to learn the game-mechanics on XTC, you risk (more) frustration.

As an example: it is much harder to repair bad or damaged reputation with races in XTC; and it is much 'easier' to damage your rep, by killing or stealing ships e.g. If you already know how to 'manage' reputation-risking operations in X3TC, you will be able to face such challenges in XTC.

As the game is open-ended (XTC and X3TC), you may use the guides for both. For the special XTC-Missions you find guides in the forum at: www.thexuniverse.com

@zazie lol, oh no no! I've never actually wrapped TC to be really honest but I've been playing these games since I first discovered X2, so I have a pretty good idea of what is going on. I mean, I get just as lost as everyone else when the economics majors start talking about argnu beef prices on the forum but I know how to turn some profitsss!

I was just wondering if anyone had started writing a guide for XTC yet. I like to write and it seems like vanilla has more than enough excellent material so I figured I write on this mod. I know that I felt a little lost at first when I started playing Xtended, what with pretty much everything being so different.

Has anybody ever finished the Pirate Missions ? I encountered a game breaking bug in my game ( Thread in the thexuniverse-forums), but until now it looks like nobody else ever had this bug. Thanks for replies and help.

i can't promise that the change will work in a saved game. Disable Pirate AL, save&load the savegame, enable the plugin again and change pirate difficulty settings to what you want.

I tried the mod, I like it but there are problems: All named sectors are empty, saying its race is "enemy", Xenon ships are not spawning in their sectors, unclaimed sector gates are not linked to others but the ones in the current sector. Is there a fix for this? :/

if all sectors are empty (and by that i mean even the starting one) you could have a installation problem or mod conflict somewhere.

If not then yes, that's the expansion system which expands the universe over time. You can cheat and fully expand it however.
