I am now playing for about 2 weeks but still no sign of the plot. There are some "hints" in Galactic news system that war with XENON will begin soon but nothing specific yet. Could someone let me know what are the conditions for plot start, etc? Eventually where can I find all this details?

And one more question. I take a mission to kill someone. I fly there, kill him, but do not get a message "mission completed" and when I check the mission log, I can see following instruction Kill: invalid ........ .

Hey fellow X3 gamer folks! I am new to this mod and enjoying it so far. I've been looking for an explanation of what the XTC artificial life setting "dynamic reputation," and not finding one. Maybe I just missed it in the manual but could someone in the know give me a quick rundown? Is it like Improved Races or Organic Race Relations where if you gain rep with one race you may lose rep with another?

Yes that's true, and on top of that you lose reputation over time (very slowly) . This is quite challenging though, because reputation gain in xtc is alot slower then in vanilla

Killjaeden, do you mean that by choosing Dynamic Reputation, Reputation Decay is automatic? I turned off Reputation Decay in the Artificial Life settings.

And rep gains sure are slow! I started my game with -2 Teladi rep and have been trying to raise it for many game hours and have only moved it about 9 percentage points. Holy crap. LoL

I tried it (not logged in) myself and i can see the page without prompt. I only get it when trying to get to page 2 which seems to be a bug with the site. However, the startpost on this thread here will be edited soon, a little patience please.

oops, i mixed that up alittle. No, if you turned decay of it wont decay obviously, you just lose some rank if you gain it with others (though to my knowledge only down to neutral/almost hostile, not from friend to enemy)

Keep in mind that completing fight missions barely gives reputation, only the task itself give some (shooting enemies in their sectors)

I have the same problem. After killing the target the instruction turns into "kill: <invalid>" and this happens every time I try to fly this kind of mission.

THanx so much for the update and Manual !!! I am new to XTC, and it is very helpful...

After installation of the 2.1 patch, the top of the start menu still says

"X-Tended - Terran Conflict Version 2.0, 2012
X3: Terran Conflict 3.2 copyright EGOSOFT
2010 all rights reserved. XTC copyright The
X-Tended Team 2010-2012 all rights reserved."

Should this have updated to indicate "X-Tended - Terran ConflictVersion 2.1"?
I fear I might botched the install.

Are there any other ID tags to indicate where I have a properly installed package?

Have almost a dozen freebie M6
(including a PAIR of Heavy Ospreys TOGETHER)... (outfitting as RRF)...

After installation of the 2.1 patch, the top of the start menu still says
Everytime you load a savegame there should be a subtitle displaying the version number. It says "X-Tended 2.0" and then in color follows the detailed version number (2.1r would be the current one). If the last number is shown in green then you have no reason to worry

Can not find Secret Split Research Base.

Can any body help? I am stuck on the Boron plot.

I have searched every sector within 3 jumps of Zrt's Revenge and can not find the secret research base.

Also spent hours searching the forum - no luck yet.
Please help.

It is in a random sector within the specified range, so can't give a definitive answer, however....

ok clean install done,

installed xtended: done

installed patch: done

installed extended verions of commercial agent and got red install message, yes i followed all steps :)

then uninstalled commercial agent and then got green install message..

so it "possible " commercial agent needs another update for the extended patch

any advice would be great :)

i can play without commercial agent so its no hinderance :)

Good work Killjaeden ( and the rest of the guys) with the new patch.....really well thought out mod and feels complete, just 2 small graphical glitches that i have come across while playing.

1. The Fenrir textures just arn't correct.....just seem to shift colour and brightness when the vessel moves.....just looks plain wrong.

2. The main big hanger doors ( the one you go into when you dock) on all the M2+ seem to disappear when you get too close.....textures are their at a distance but get within 1k ish and they go.

Hope the above can be corrected :)

Anyway cracking mod, love all the work thats gone into it ( all those lovley new stations etc) ......the 2 above glitches are just really annoying now........good alternative to XRM now......and from me thats the highest praise as ive played that excellent mod for years now.

Stuck on Pirate Plot

Hi guys hope you can help again.

I have closely inspected a gate in

keeping Miss Bonny company. We have Spacewalked all around the outside of the gate but nothing seems to happen!

I have also commanded myself to follow Miss Bonny (Spacewalking) and left this running for 2 hours. Still no change.

What do I need to do here to progress the plot?

Do I have a bug?

Another mission problem.

Boron Plot mission.

Taipan capture mission: Split fighters are indestructible and Taipan is not boarded when shields are down. Do I need to kill all fighters before boarding can take place? If so - how do I kill the fighters?

I have tried missiles but they will still not die!
Help would be appreciated.

Edit: I am also still stuck on the pirate Plot - see previous post - and Miss Bonny is still waiting by the gate for me.

OK Guys, no replies to my 2 previous posts.

Perhaps if I ask a different question?

Can anyone who has completed the two missions above tell what is supposed to happen in both missions?

I would be grateful for any help you could give me.

Edit: I have cheated past the problem with the Taipan mission. I used Cycrow's cheat package to destroy the indestructable split fighters. After that the Taipan was boarded and mission completed as normal. So.... all the split fighters MUST be destroyed before the mission proceeds. Is it normal for the split fighters to be indestructible? or do I have a problem with my game?

I have the following scripts installed: Marine repairs, Salvage Command Suite and Resources Free Factories. Does anyone have any experience of these causing problems?

Hi space people,

first things first: very nice mod! Thanks to everybody who participated!

Does anybody else have a bug in the "kill"-missions? When I take over a kill-mission, I always have to contact someone (that works) and then I usually have to fly to another sector to kill a NPC. But when I arrive there, the mission description shows "Kill [invalid]" and there's no target visible. That happens with all kill-missions.

I play the latest english X-Tended patch 2.1 with a tc 3.2 installation without any other scripts.

Any idea how to fix this would be appreciated!

Ive decided to try this mod but i have been playing XRM with high hull pack to make fights last longer...and having ONLY read 190 pages of this thread im a bit worried about about "short" fights... :twisted:

Is there a hull pack mod for XTC?

If so does anyone have a link?

really lookinbg forward to getting this up and running either way :)
