From the FAQ:

To be able to start the Bala Gi missions, these conditions must be met:


* You need to have played at least 10 game hours.

* You need to have a good reputation with the Boron and must not be an enemy of the Split or Paranid.

* You need to own at least one station.

* You need at least 5 million Credits.

I have all of these except the 10 Hours of play. (and im a little short on credits, but that is going to be fixed). Thanks for thelp. Il do my best to play more.

I just did the M7 mission sucessfully...but..the ship is junk..its not an M7..its a frieghter with 1 mj of shield..after repairs..and Bala gave me a new M3+ and its the same "undefined" ship..any ideas? I love the patch ...

The ship takes 3 1gj shields. It has multiple turrets. You can take down carriers with itm or wander into crowds of fighters and dominate with minimal flying skills. It ain't no freighter. You obviously did not get the right ship.

You do not need flying skills to use the verticle.

1) Find an empty space in the sector
2) Select Navigation, then the move to position command
3) Press the insert key to see the Z axis
4) Press the number pad to move the destination arrow (8 for up, 2 for down)

You can do all your navigating this way unless there are lethal enemies on you.

Try removing the 'mod' or 'false patch' you have thats overriding the patch's TShips file. If you don't have a 'mod', I think you replaced the 'patch' (08 and 09.cat/dat).

Your description means the TShips data isn't there. And by default, any undefined ship slots used revert the last slot, which is that Freight Drone. Bala Gi ships were added after that.

ok, ty all for the info..there is a new ddr download that is compatable with the bala gi missions, I now have a fine M3+ Eclipse and a M7..but of course the cargo hold full of HEPTs dont work...lol they Alpha IREs that it said it came with wont leave...or work either, its parked at terricorp in home of light till I figure out how to get the weapons up. It says it installs them but the icon stays the same..ire...and none charge, or fire..only missiles work.ty for help the first time..heres a new riddle.

FIgured it was something like that.

Try the following. Move the ship into another sector, so its model data is updated.

Next, set all the turrets command to NONE. This usually helps. Then unequipe the turrets. If they clear, then they should pack the HEPT's.

Hey, first thing, fantastic patch, but I seemed to have run into a problem. After my HQ has REed a ship, the blueprints do not appear in the station menue. Thus far, all I have is the buster blueprints that came with the station, even though the HQ told me it has successfully REed several ships and built one (a harrier that I threw in to test things).

It appears that I can only get the HQ to build ships by using the command consule and manually selecting a ship I own of the same type as one that has already been REed.

Its a bit of a problem for ships like the M7 and arrow, for which there is only one, and that has been destroyed in the RE process, and it also gets a bit hard to keep track of which ships I have or haven't REed.

Anyone else run into this problem and can someone help me fix it?

flew the M7 into red light from home of lighht..checked and made sure all turretts said none..(no commands)..then tryed to uninstall the aplpha ires..it said it did, but they stayed in..nothing is charging to use and even though it says that I'm installing weaps..they dont show up or work..also checked..my frieght says there are no ires on board at all.. but lots of hepts....so cant uninstall weaps that arent there...but act as place holders..lol whatever..

So the goal in that mission with towing the yacht is to bring it to shipyard in grand exchange.

ok, bought 4 alpha ires and put them on the ship....since it says they are already in...thought having a few might get something going..not. It still wouldnt take even those..it says they are in storage, even show as ready to install form the main from hud..along with the hepts..click on one and the computer says its installed...but no..have all turrets set to none..and flew around through 4 secttors...trying everything mentioned as before..wont uninstall the "fake " ires or insttall the real ones...a more dificult puzzle thatt I first hoped for. Its setting at my pos with 4 heavy fighters guarding it..lol

North I opened Cargo Bay Doors prior to commencing my run. As Disco came to a stop;
Eject Satellite & Immediately jumped - just made it.
I intend playing X Series till I am 80 years.

Ive read the first 26 pages of this.... *sighs*

and this last page...


Seems i have a very simple problem....

After an hour or so searching, im still looking for the damn gate.

Looking for the guy with the yacht to get the M7 i believe...

West through the Maelstrom.. into the unknown, then there is another unknown much futher south...

I want the cordinates of the south gate in the unknown sector west of maelstrom pretty pretty pretty please :)

For now... i ll continue systematically searching >_>

well umm...

Forget all of that... i just found it on the way back to the gate :@ *swears wildly*

Just so you all know... i systematically flew and marked out with navigation satallites 200 KM either way... How i missed the gate i dont know.. it was wedged between 2 satalites with about a 500 m gap between each of their scanning range...

*sigh*

I love this Pontefract Maxibus Paranoidi Ship! I feel soooo safe now. I only had three Busters and a Mercury tanker when I went looking for it. Then I managed to get it under tow with no salvage insurance, which was a bit dumb and made for a long trek with no mistakes.
That was good fun.
