Is it possible to 'extract' the scripts that cause 'massive war' from the massive war mod so they can be applied to an existing game without all the other stuff.

I've been looking through them and it looks like if you just dropped all the scripts begining with warmod.whatever into your x2 scripts folder and edited the init.megamod script just to call the warmodinit script without all the other stuff it would work......

What do you think? would it work :?:

im pretty sure this hasn't been discussed:

i'd like to play the MwM on a german localization of X2. is this (at all) possible ? are there german language .xml's included ? what would i need to take care of ?

Unfortunately the text was never translated to German. So what you're going to need to do is unzip and install like normal, then open up your X2\t folder. Change any files named 44****.xml to 49****.xml. You can play with the optional sound pack as long as you want to hear English (which might be ok considering you are typing in English). However, you cannot play with the sound patch. Your sounds will be super messed up, with no way to fix it as the timings are all different. [*] will now represent either massivewarmod or 05, depending on whether you are using with plot or without plot. Instead, you're going to have to unpack the mod file (*.dat/cat) You will now have a folder called *. Open it up, and delete the mov folder. Open *.catd, delete the line that starts with mov\. Repack *. You should be able to play this with no problems, however, since Germans and English speakers haven't collaborated some wares and text files might clash, if they do that's your problem.

when i install mwm and start a new game i always have an yellow screen and i hear apolo 11 landing on the moon
reinstald X2 an the mod same result
also the same result if i try the costum universe option

I don't think that that is a MWM problem, try playing with antialiasing and anistropic filtering off. You are supposed to hear the Apollo landing yes.

Ok, This is prob. a stupid question, but...

when you made MWM, did u experiment with the factories?

What I mean is, I want to create/modify an R & D factory, but I'm not sure what can be done with them, or how much you can do, so I thought I'd ask you as you may have done quite a bit yourself with the salvage yards, so might be able to point me in the right direction.

I've posted my idea about these on the Dev forum if you want to look at it, this might help to explain what I'm tring to do.

Any info you can give me would be of great help. Thanx

Anyone ever found the Supercarrier?
If so then mind giving a small,not too obvious Tip that could exclude a few of the 200 or so Sectors?

Yeah and thats where i did search for it 700 times...
Iam either blind,or too lazy to fly behind Planets,or you did a great Job on hiding it.

Oh what joy !!! Spent over 4hrs searching - not a sausage !!!

I followed your "advise" and all I got for my troubles was hitting both planets head on.... :( Am I being completely dumb ??? (No don't answer that cos I know the answer already :) )

Then I remembered a lovely littl script that showed "hidden objects" inside your current system - lo & behold there was a ship (along with loads od asteroids), but the co-ords were so far away it would take a couple of days of non stop seta to reach :evil: (this actually changes after each reload - is this correct ?)

Is it meant to be this far out or am I just bloody unlucky ?

Or as I suspect does this depend on your rating ?

Any idea if the buycellstilllimit script can be made compatible? I love the patrol scripts, and my centaur misses its jump engine :)
