The last part of the terran campaign where you jump into aldrin. last time I did it pre 2.0 the jumpe beacon acted as gate and I jumped beside it. For some reason it doesn't work like that anymore. It always just plops me down randomly and sorta messes the mission up.
Hmm, when i was altering that sector there wasn't any jump beacon on the map, so that must be generated as part of the mission, and i don't see how that new arrangement of the sector is affecting the mission in a negative way as the aldrin sector is now smaller than the 'Vanilla'.

*If anyone else has the same or similar issue in this mission i'll change it back to the original layout but that will mean a restart*

@Dopp. How do these filght instructor expect to teach you how to fly when they can't achieve simlpe navigation & avoidance! :lol:

UPDATE:

Permission for the use of Boron Lusca & Paranid Thanatos has been granted! :D and will be added in 2.1 update of this mod.

These to ships will only be used by NPC. the only way the player will be able to obtain one will be through BOARDING! :twisted:

EDIT:

Ships now added with tweaked stats to fit into game, also ship descriptions have been altered/enhanced to suit new stats.

Jobs files will now include patrols for these two ships, and as they are Prototype ships undergoing testing they will be well protected! :twisted:

If anyone has any screenshots of there adventures in the new universe, plese feel free to post them in this thread. :D

this is a great mod thanks
i have one question are the gates suppost to be close together.
i thought they were to be far away with more room in the sector.

i like it either way

By the sounds of it captain , you didn't start a new game. If you don't start a fresh new game all that will change is the backgrounds and the gate size will increase. The sector sizes and station locations will remain put.

I can't give you an exact answer captain. In my game they are mostly spread very far apart. But some sectors they are quite close aswell. Mainly close because they have been moved far off the ecliptic.


Perhaps if you have some screen shots of the sector's map that you are curious about. I could compare them to my own.

Thanks eightbit i found out that for some reason
i couldn't get the sectors only the back grounds
so i removed all the other mods and restarted and now
i have the sector size and back grounds.

it is weard because i had it working before with and mods

i found out that i can't use the galactica mod with the sector
mod .it's either one or the other.

any one else trying this :(

Is there a version available that is just the new backgrounds and that doesn't require a restart? Or is there an easy way I could edit the mod to be just that?

At the moment it's just the mod 'as is', i will in ther near future will be putting together a package that will just be some of the new backgrounds. :)

This mod is awesome.

Just i have only one question: Why (the hell) do you killed the Unknown S. right next to Montalaar? That S. for me was the best Sector (to install Headquarter) at the whole universe, and u killed him -- Nooooo, can i have it back pls? :D

There is a limit to the number of files that can be put into the 00749.Bod file (this produces the Galaxy map boxes) and because we added some new sectors it took us over the limit for this, so we had to sacrifice a lot of the new sectors (we had originally planned 10, now thats down to 3) that we'd wanted to add, but we also sacrifced the old 'avarice' sector so we could keep a new sector.

If a way can be found to overcome this obsitcal then it will be added back in and more new sectors will be added.

No bloody wonder I couldn't find it. Been looking for days on end to find the gates. Thought in those bigger sectors you'd hidden the gates so the sector would live up to the name. (unknown sector in the middle of one of the most busy sector clusters on the map)

Oh well.

Here's to hoping you can stretch that limit.

There is a limit to the number of files that can be put into the 00749.Bod file...
Is there any way to change that .bod file to get back my Mainsector? My whole gamestrategy is build upon that sector, unplayable to me without it. No way.
Words wispering his name, winds telling the wispers all over the races about the new glorious homesector, everyone wannabe there......noone speaks his name out loud...................aaarglm........u killed him..........u take all hopes away..........nooooooooooo...

Once i get done with the update for 2.1, i'll have a look at it, there is quite an amount of work thatwill need to be done to get that sector back, (adding sector, putting stuff in in redoing bod file, removing one of the new sectors, altering job files...etc...) so i'll see what i can do with the spare time that i have.

That is completly upto you, if you choose to D/load the t-ships one, the speed, manouervrability has been tweaked to better suit the sector expansions, whereas non-t-ships is just standard vanilla stats. :)

These backgrounds are unbelivible...so beautyfull..i LOVE them!!! :D

But, is there a way I can add the new backgrounds and suns to X3TC2.0 without changing anything else?

Background yes, suns no.

You can just add the dat&cat into your X3TC dir, this will give you the backgrounds, you won't get the suns cos there linked to the map and you will have to add all the components of the mod and re-start to get them. :wink:
