The mission prior to delivering the Teladianium and Ore was repairing the capacitors, was it not? I did that. Do you mean that I have to provide 10 000 e-cells to re-align the active gates before the material deliveries will be accepted?

Yes, I think you have to activate the first gate pair before it will ask for the Talad. So yes, you will need 10,000 ecells first.

I got the e-cells, realigned the gate, and then the teladianium and ore were taken out of station inventory. The odd thing is that the request for telad and ore appears on the mission briefing screen before the gate has been realigned or Mahi Ma sends the message requesting said materials.

Sorry for the confusion and false alarm.

hub plot problem

Post by space muppet »

Dear apricot, i really need your assistant regarding the very easy hub plot script, this is the second time I’m playing terran conflict, the first time I played I installed the script and it was fine. Now I am playing terran conflict second time (after reinstalling the game), I started the hub plot and right after the first visit to the xenon hub I installed the very easy hub script (before taking mahi ma to hub and starting the ware missions) but it’s not working, I receive instructions to collect 400 computer components and after 500 microchips…
The file was extract to x3tc-director- hub file just like the first time but it’s not working
Playing version 2.1
Please help

Sorry about the delay answering. I dont get a notification email when they merge threads, so didnt know it was here.

The way the mission director works is that when you change an MD file, whatever mission you are on cannot change, but the next mission will read the new file.

So unfortunately, from where you installed the modified plot, the original mission will remain unchanged.

However, it is worth checking you installed it correctly. I would have thought before taking mahi ma to the hub was early enough to change the first deliverable, and since it hasnt, it could indicate the new plot file is in the wrong place.

This is NOT a script, so if you put it in the scripts directory, thats wrong.

The correct procedure is to unzip the download into the TC directory. It will then create the sub directory it needs if its not there and place the modified hub plot in there. If you installed it any other way, it will not be in the correct place.

So double check where the file is and let me know.

At this point, I havent looked at what they changed in 2.7.

But yes, the hub plots will work.

Thats not to say there may not be some side effects no one knows about yet. But in previous versions, I've been 1 or 2 patches behind with these and never had any issue reported.

I am intending to update them for the Superbox, which has a very short time limit, but I wont promise it, given that time is very very short. It depends a lot on how extensive the changes were.

I'd say go ahead and use which ever one you prefer, and if the 2.7 versions are done before your finished, just overwrite them then.

On the other hand, if you want to hold on, hopefully I'll get them done before the 15th.

I was hoping they would have corrected this torture in 2.7, oh well I'll keep using this mod then.
So the Superbox is coming soon then? Yay!

Hub Plots are now updated to 2.7.

Thanks to someone mentioning Winmerge, I discovered I could get these done very quickly using it.

I'm using the PHQ in Boron Shipyard script.

Does anyone know which file I would have to edit to lower the price of the PHQ from 194 million credits to 94 million credits?

I've opened the script file setup.apricot.PHQ.MO.xml in notepad but I didn't see any obvious value that would edit this, so I left it alone.

Any help would be appreciated.

You cant script that.

You would need to make the change to the PHQ spec itself in the tdocks file, which is modding not scripting. The price isnt stored, as its a calculated value. The best you will do is an approximate value around what you want with a lot of trial and error to find it.

Its a lot easier to just script yourself an extra 100mil as a way of lowering the price. The cheat pack does that.

SPK is the format of the Plugin Manager by cycrow. Its a stand alone program designed to install game stuff. You need to download and install it on your computer. See the sticky thread for the download link.

The Plugin manager is being funny, says that 'the program cannot start because the application configuration is incorrect, reinstalling may fix this' which I have tried.
(edit)
Never mind it's working ok now. Switch to 'modified mode'? wheres the damn button for that? Why cant game mechanics just be nice and simple for once?

Err... Is there a version of Cbeam that doesn't add weapons, and rename the hub?

No offense, but I just want the FL-ish tractor beam.

Love the idea of the script otherwise. ;)

EDIT: Thanks!
