Could you add the new Xenon ships to the...3 shipyards they have? Sometimes I like to play a Toaster.

Also, could you add a pirate shipyard with all the new ships?
Argh!
I'll add the Xenon ships to their shipyards in the next release.

I was not going to add the new pirate variations to a pirate shipyard simply because in my mind they were stolen and customised by the pirates rather than built.

However, if the consensus is to make them available I'll consider it.
I would keep it as it is, would Pirates really have the technology and facilites to build say a Pteranodon heavy battleship?

Makes more sense that the Pirates would aquire these ships by other methods then adapt them more to thier needs.......and it gives the players a reason to actually train marines and have to board these unique ships to get them!

It concerns the Boron Marlin bomber. It's lasers are not shooting, no matter what you mount.

My suggestion is also to improve all M8 laser energy reserves. Now they are all around 1000-1500 which is enough to sustain 5 seconds of PBE continuous fire. I'd boost them up to 3000. Not much, just slightly.

Thanks - it was a typo in the TShips turret entry. Its sorted now.

A fair point for the M8 laser reserves. I'll see what I can do.

I would like to know if this bunch of mods work together without problems.

SRM-Base, Weapons dealer, Shipyards, Jobs, Trails.
CMOD-Base, Script file
AWRM-Base, CMOD patch

I know they work fine, but im wondering if Changeling/Enhanced equipment spawner will do any harm/whatever?

Here are the other mods/scripts ill be using, if there's anything else that might go wrong if the previous mods/scripts aren't problematic.

Advanced Jumpdrive+Override, Advanced Navigation+Override, eEQ 2.7-2.2, Salvage Claim Software, NPC Bailing Addon, Satellite EWS.

I realise they are fully compatible, btw.

What i was wondering about are the mods from the Terran Revitalisation Project

I don't know about everything you typed, but I currently use the following (+ some!). I change up cockpits and trails packs every now and then for variety.

CMOD (+APPC, CMODFACSCRIPTS, EES)

SRM (+ hull_high, SRM Jobs (Unleashed no civs version), SRM_Shipyards_Pack, SRM_Weapons_Dealers)

ImprovedRaces_R15_22 (+ Improved Races addons)

And of course many others.

What I can say is the EES works fine. I don't know about Changeling, I don't know what it is and haven't tried it out.

Changeling is a tool nothing more, and currently can be used to generate/edit EES v2.1 configurations with 100% reliability and has provisional support for editing/generation of MARS v4.95 configurations. It is still a work in progress with regards to it's primary purpose and would only trust it (for now) for the EES configuration facilities, the MARS v4.95 facilities should be resolved over the next couple of releases.

EES itself does not do any harm and is in fact highly recommended (if not essential) if you are using AWRM. The only caveat is that new game load times can take around a minute - possibly due to the fact that the creation of jobs becomes more CPU intensive (not an issue during main play or subsequent/existing game loads).

Ah I gotcha. Sounds interesting. Dunno why, I just have an aversion to even trying to check out things with names I don't immediately understand...

Ship Rebalance Mod... "ok, this rebalances ships, I want it!"
Combat Mod... "ok, this mods combat, I want it!"
Enhanced Equipment Spawner... "ok, this spawns enhanced equipment, I want it!"
Community Plugin Configuration... "ok, this helps me configure plugins, I want it!"
Changeling... "wtf is this? Dunno but I don't wanna mess with it if I don't have to!"

Lol. Maybe it's just me. Sounds complicated... :p

As a side note (and slightly more relevant to SRM, at least on a personal level), did I read somewhere that Changeling is able to edit the Game Start files in a manner that is somewhat less messy than directly editing the XML files in notepad? :)

Ah. Uh... pretty sure Angelina Jolie should do some skin flicks. Then we could texture her onto some ships in SRM.

See how I got this back on topic? BAM!

Not yet, that feature is still in the works as you will note from this post.

WRT Changeling, this is the relevant entomology.

Suffice to say, it is not a mod/script so has no relevance to mod compatability at this time. When the development is a little further on though, it may help in cases where mods would be otherwise incompatible.

I suggest looking here if you are still confused about the Changeling and what it is and defer further discussion of it to that thread.

I always feel the need to comment on jokes like this. Doesn't make me very popular, either. Ah, well. I'll keep it short;

Paul, I have a "run-on" question for you:

What are your thoughts on eventually providing players with functionality similar to Enhanced Equipment Docks, and possibly adding Engine Tuning, Rudder Opt, and Cargo Bay Extensions to player docks, in one of your factory packs eventually (either for this mod or CMOD)?

The actual mod "Enhanced Equipment Docks" is probably not an exact fit with the way you're modding the game, but I just mean the general concept.

I believe this can only be done via scripting since the tunings have to actually be "bought".

I use Pelador's Player Workshop script. It allows you to add tunings and equipment from any player owned dock and optionally from carriers too.

Is there a way to disable the external docking clamps for ships? I really like this mod but the docking clamps drive me nuts a little bit.

I was thinking there would be some way to force the AI to not use them, as a possible easy solution?

I'm afraid not. it would mean editing every ships' scene file and removing to dock entry - a huge amount of work!

I tried removing the BDS docking mod entires in the scene file for the Mammoth, but I'm still able to dock a TS. I then tried just deleting both Mammoth files from the *.cat file, and I'm still able to dock a TS.

I guess it was a nice try. I'm still really enjoying the mod though... Thanks!

Did you test it with a new Mammoth or one that already existed before you made your changes? You need to spawn an entirely new ship to see the changes.
