Nope, there's no sign of it anywhere. Checked all the Teladi equipment docks I can reach. I haven't checked TerracorpHQ yet, but that's very hard to reach from the Republic start, and impossible from the imperial start.
Edit - Yes, it's still for sale in the Terracorp HQ, at least in the Humble Merchant start, but it seems to be missing from the Teladi equipment docks. Hopefully somebody can point out how I've been an idiot here and tell me what's happened.

The setup script of the mk3 trading software adds the software extension on every game load to a couple of randomly selected Teladi Equipment Docks. So if you cannot find it, try to reload the game a couple of times.

Do not use mod manager/installer, must be installed manually.
Inside mod zip youll see "X3 Albion Prelude" inside it youll see "Addon" and "soundtrack"
just drop the "addon" folder and the "Soundtrack" folder into Steam\steamapps\common\X3 Terran Conflict
Overwrite all.
NOTE (inside "addon" are loadscr+scripts+t+04.cat+05.cat+08.cat)
all must be copied into addons folder.
Game must be English installationof Albion Prelude, not just TC, no other mods installed.
back up 04.cat and 04.dat in the addons folder.

you can but youll just be wasting your time, as im building this mod im also making a map which is 90% TC, there will be a choice later for either a 90% Albion Prelude state map and a 90% starwars EP 7 state of the galaxy map.
(the 10% is just the x3 races and their ships, with a few core sectors.)

Things to lookout for:
Transparent models & textures disappearing at certain angles.
Unusual glow.
Weapons or astromech droids sitting skew or in wrong place.
Weapons not firing.
Cockpit appearing in centre of ship.
Odd pricing of ships
Races flying incorrect ships, e.g. Teladi flying a tie fighter or something.
ships under or over powered with either shields, weapons energy, general energy, or amount of weapons and type mountable.
Inability to dock or undock.

One idea I had was ditching the gates and replacing them with Hyper Nav buoys from the X-wing games. They will do the same thing just fit in better with the starwars theme. Not sure if you can remove the TIE's hyper capability.

these guys are doing graphics upgrades for the old X-wing games. They might have some modellers who can help.

I know there models are not up to scratch but its limited by the program they are moding. Just they might be able to lend some help in the actual new model creation if they have design experiance.
I would help design some models but I am only just learning 3D max at the moment. I can create models fit for 3D printing, but not sure I can make them for a game yet.

I think for the TC version there needs to be some decison on what era it will be set in.
For the new trilology we really still dont have a lot of infomation. And with Micky mouse throwing out the old EU there not a lot of filler.
The old Trilogy with the galatic civil war seems to me the best bet. Alot of the old EU is slowly being reestablished (though not all,but some is better than none) in some of the new books and its pretty safe as we know alot of what is going on
Between ESB and RTJ would be ideal as Mon Calamari and its ajoining words had joined the Alliance openly.
Factions could then be:
Empire
Alliance
Hutt Space
Corperate Sector
Black Sun
Hapes?
General Pirates
For the new trilology we really still dont have a lot of infomation. And with Micky mouse throwing out the old EU there not a lot of filler.

As I have mentioned before, the time line is somewhere between the Original trilogy ROTJ and Episode 7, to be more precise , about 2-3 years before the events of Episode 7.
The 30 year gap isnt so long, this allows us to keep older ships such as the X-wing in service, the new T70 just being a more expensive fighter with only slight advancements, since the Original X-Wing saw modernisation upgrades anyway.
(think of the F-16, its 40 years old, still in service, and beats the F35 in most criteria)
This time period is also interesting because the galaxy would be in a state of chaos, with Piracy rampant, and one would truly have to try restore order to the galaxy.
Another interesting part is, this post Endor battle, after which followed more fierce battles, with fighters being in some cases abandoned when damaged just to later be picked up by Pirate or Private salvager.
These ships would undergo many kids of customisations, although a rare sight, pirates could poses a Tie Fighter with perhaps a X-Wing shield generator mounted.
And another thing, the Millennium Falcon at this point according to EP 7 ha been stolen from Han, so if you find it, its yours to capture, otherwise I had Han flying it, didnt feel right taking it from him.
We also dont know much about what really going on at the moment, there are a few things in Ep 7 im finding very hard to deal with, so until we get more informations, we will keep it just pre ep7, people will want the tech from ep 7 in the game.
We also have the Imperial fragments, "remnant"(the current Imperial Forces) which also gives us the ability to separate First Order and the Imperial Remnant (First Order will be an aggressive race trying to take over the galaxy like in Litcubes mod, who only emerge in time)
The new tech we are seeing being NO, and older Star destroyers and SSDs being Remnant, this however i'll implement later, this is also dependant on the info we get regarding what been happening in the Galaxy.
To sum up, this way we can have all ships starting from Clone wars to EP 7, Clone War era stuff being in private hands (collectors,pirates,Teladi trying to make a dime by reproducing old frame with new avionics/systems, or civilians)
Original Trilogy and EP 7 stuff currently in active Alliance/ Imperial service.

Actually the modfied TIE and X-wing idea would not be a first and would fit rather well as they were called Uglys.
Infact even the Empire retrofited some shield gens on TIE intecepters in the TIE fighter game.
Been reading some of the new cannon and these are in from the old EU:
Victory Star destroyers
Imperial Escort carriers
Immobilizer 418 cruiser
Carrack Crusier
TIE Defender
CC-7700 frigate
And there were refrences to a imperial gun boats. So that may be the Alpha-class Xg-1.
There was also refrence to a medium crusier that may refer to the Strike-class medium cruiser
Things from the old EU I liked that not yet offical cannon:
Cargo Ferry
Bulk Crusier
MK1 Assualt Frigate
Assasin Class Corvette
M40 mon cal Light cruiser
Nebulon-B2 frigate
Tie Avenger.
Skyprey Blast Boat
For the TC the teladi would work rather well as the Hutts. Nar Shaddaa would make a nice planet to explore.

The uglies im not gonna include because they are just ridicules, maybe 1 or 2 , what i was talking about, imagine visually a usual tie with a few gadgets attached here and there e.g. an external cargo box or power unit, with maybe a custom paint job or visible battle damage, nothing as extreme as those "Uglies"

The Imperial Light Cruiser as seen in several episodes of Rebels would be a good addition too. It's a strong medium sized ship, which is something the Imperials are otherwise lacking in.

I am haveing a ago at creating some fighters like the Plantary fighter, Starchaser and Cloakshape fighter as they are pretty simple for my 3d Printing
I am crap at textures though so not sure if just the models will be any good and someone else can do the textures?
Those fighters would make some great pirate fighters.
