The Superbox is registered correctly, it's just that regular users don't see it show up as a registered Superbox yet - there isn't an unique symbol for it, either right now.softweir wrote:You get the same effect when you buy a boxed Superbox, which makes me think it is a forum problem, not necessarily a Steam problem.Locki wrote:I bought the superbox through Steam ... but the serial number given by them was for X3TC ...so I've got now 2 X3TC serials on my egosoft profile and no superbox. I'm really very disappointed by Steam.

Eureka!!!
My SB arrived today, after a long multi-stop journey. The box is in fair condition, but not bad enough for me to try to get it back to Amazon UK.
For those trying to get a copy to America:
1) Amazon UK has these but will not ship them outside of the UK, so one must engage an agent to forward it. (worked for me, but took 3 weeks and will end up double price. (with extra money to my "agent" for her troubles)).
2) Also, it appears that a couple for British Gamers are selling these on Ebay and shipping international. They are charging base price and shipping seems reasonable.
3) Lastly, to order a german version from Egosoft (with English discs), and download an english copy of the encyclopaedia (per ES).
I am looking forward to exploring my new goodies tonight...

Hmm, they either sold out or it's the one that doesn't ship across the Atlantic. Ah, well, at least I was able to buy the Steam version.GeminiFire wrote:2) Also, it appears that a couple for British Gamers are selling these on Ebay and shipping international. Not completely true. Amazon UK will ship to most of European countries, but unfortunately not to USGeminiFire wrote:1) Amazon UK has these but will not ship them outside of the UK, so one must engage an agent to forward it. I've bought the Superbox in the UK (if it matters). Thanks to Egosoft for including my Screenshot Blender and two poems in it.
Now then. In the folder
"Tools/English" I see 7 weird files:
Asteroid Seeker, Exscriptor, MK3 Trading Log, Savegame Manager, X3 Model Viewer, X3 Ships Database, X Universe Wizard.
All of them are 0 bytes in size, they have no extension, and their description is "File". The Properties menu won't open at right-click on any of them, and double-click doesn't open any of them.
What's (wrong) with these files?

Dammit, something was wrong with the DVD then - I re-inserted it and now I see those "files" as directories instead, and can open them

I may have to buy this twice
So I bought it from steam and my god I wish my other games had as pretty openings. THANK YOU for not neglecting this part. Even the first game the opening is better and much more mood setting than many new games out now. I just hope I can get the throttle on my joystick to work with it correctly... (check out my post on that please).
The boxed copy does that come with the encyclopedia in an actual book??? I didn't think any companies were still doing things like that...sorry if that has been answered all ready don't have time to read through 29 pages. If that is true I will buy the box again keep the manuals and such but give the games away...

Yeah, the boxed version comes with printed x-ecyclopedia. It even says it may be expanded in the future so you can actualy add new pages in the book.Zaldar wrote:So I bought it from steam and my god I wish my other games had as pretty openings. by doing some diggin on the STEAM forms, i found out that the coad nessisary was in the TOOLS section. why in all that the xenon hate would that be there, so out of place that it takes a guy 5 hours to find it. but it is downloading now so if noting else goes worng i will have a good 300 page book to read.
