Most unfortunate. There could have been "lore" that pirates have access to decomissioned old ships.

Up to latest play session had hopes that this was true, but now I saw the first SCA E's in the wild. :cry:

Agree it would have been a good use for the old destroyers. However personally think pirates should not be using destroyers at all. Ideally would prefer them to be flying their own variants of L freighters which have been upgraded to the point where they have more or less the same capabilities as destroyers (concealed main guns, multiple L turrets, equivalent shielding) but on first glance look almost identical to the original freighter on which they are based & have utterly innocuous names. Flying around in readily identifiable warships called 'Plunderer' or 'Marauder' is not exactly subtle.
