Ive no idea bout the answer 2 that 1 but i hav another 1!
A man stared through the dirty soot-smeared window on the 26th floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent, how could he have survived?

Had another idea about the one with the car and hotel. All-be-it far less likely to be correct.
The guy has locked himself out of the car (fortunately hand-brake off, so he can push) he is going to the hotel to use the phone to call the locksmith to get the car open. Phone and locksmith cost money.
This cant be the answer, how would he steer the car if he was locked out?
Mmmmmm, need to give this some more thought.

He had a giant ice cube climbed on that and by the time he was found the ice had melted to water. The Doctor wrote:Right, lets see if I can remember this one right.
A man is found hanging from the seeling of a room. There is no chair in there so he can clime up, nor anyother form of assistance. How did he do it?
Think that's right, it's been years since I thought about this one.

"A man is pushing his car towards a hotel. When he gets there he knows that it's going to cost him money."
Right, I've been thinking about this all day, driving me crazzzzy *twitch*
Is the owner of the car not the only man present?
Perhaps the man has hired a second man to push/steer the car while the owner steers/pushes, so when they reach the hotel the car owner will have to pay the hired help.

Ok, here is a murder mystery.
A woman kills her husband. She does not leave the room before the police arrive. The window and door remain closed until the police arrive.
The police detective is first on the scene, he notices the room is a study/library with many bookshelves, there are several gaps where books are missing. On the wall adjacent to the bookshelves is a large bay window of Victorian design, the curtains are a thick brown velvet and are not drawn though it is growing quite dark outside. There is a desk and chair near the window on the far side of the room. On the desk there are several books which appear to be the very ones missing from the bookshelves. One book lies open at a page describing exotic poisons. Against the wall opposite the bookshelves, there is a small table with two decanters (whiskey and sherry, both are very strong varieties), two clean glasses and a small cloth neatly folded. Against the wall opposite the desk, are two soft leather armchairs between which is an elegant hand crafted chess board on a stand, it is clear that a game is already in progress. The wife is sitting in the chair facing away from the door, having just finished her drink she clumsily places the glass onto the chess board knocking over several pieces, she gives a little chuckle then stands up. The woman turns to face the detective, she gives him a sly smile then arrogantly walks past him and out the door to the waiting officers who arrest and search her. The detective now turns his attention to the center of the room where upon a fine Persian rug lies the corpse. Next to the corpse is a small over-turned table, and next to the table lies an empty glass and next to the glass a tiny damp patch. The glass, the damp patch and corpse all smell of whiskey. A brief examination of the corpse revealed, beneath the flap of the waistcoat, a large stab wound to the chest.
After thorough searches of the room, corpse and wife only one knife-like object is found. A small letter opener in the top drawer of the desk, however, medical examination shows the letter opener has no blood on it and is too small to have caused such a wound.
The detective now asks himself what is the murder weapon? and where is it now?

The detective walks over to the decanters and lifts one of the twin lids, he rolls it around in his hands for a moment. The lid is remarkably heavy and quite cold to the touch. This would make an excellent heavy blunt weapon, alas, not what he is looking for.The_Abyss wrote:I will have a stab (no pun intended) at the obvious. It's the sharp lid to a decanter, and it's still there in the room.
