Cannot log in to Egosoft via game settings - Fixed!

I can apparently login to the forum, but when I try in game it says login accepted then it has an error saying it can't connect username and password match I've looked at win firewall and have disabled firewall what else is there

According to the logs you last logged in, successfully, at around 21:00 UTC yesterday. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "looked at win firewall and have disabled firewall" but I hope you mean you've checked the firewall settings and have made an exception for the X4 game EXE file.

I will have to verify that on my end. As of yet there have been no successful connections on my end

As for firewall stuff I have opened checked that firewall allows x4, and I have disabled the firewall temporarily as a method of troubleshooting i hope you understand a little more

It still says unable to connect. How could I of ever successfully connected?

From the server side, you have successfully connected. So it seems something on your end is preventing your client from receiving the information. I can only guess at what that might be but the usual suspects would be firewall and router settings.

Also, please note that there is an Edit button if you wish to add information to your post. Posting 4 times in a row in separate posts is not particularly helpful.

Well I have been a loyal customer since "The threat" I got the collectors edition because I believe in you guys but really? Make it possible to login or i need to get my refund

As I said, from our side the game is already allowing you to connect. It's very hard to diagnose what is happening on your PC, router or network to prevent it working on your side. We're helping as far as we can with minimal information.

What does this mean? I am using win 7 and have been thru all of the firewall settings i can find what do I do? There should be a instructions for something this complicated what router settings how does one have anything to do with that? How does someone give more information?

It isn't normally that complicated. Most people have been able to connect without doing anything at all, and of those who have had problems, most have just had to use the standard Windows firewall settings to allow the game access to connect and receive data. The tricky part only comes with trying to solve a problem that is almost certainly related to your network set-up rather than anything we have either control over or access to.

i have a modem that i am plugged directly into with a cable hughes (ht2000w)
what can i access to change any settings in that? is there a list of exact firewall settings i should use? what else can i do to help figure this out?

OK, I've done a bit of searching around for you and it looks like it could be an issue with your Hughes Satellite Modem and the HTTPS protocol. See if this solution for similar issues also works for you.
