Bethesda seems to rely on a lot of "player agency" to fix... I mean, improve... er… augment their games.
The Teladi are known for creating a standardized currency, ship insurance, and insurance fraud.

I can not see an end to the X4 game as an end defines no more.
There is always more, it’s a matter of how board you get.
There is an end to Exploring, that is unless more sectors are added.
There is no end to station building, as the design factor has millions of options.
There is an end to all kinds of ships to own, fly, destroy.

Defining an End is up to the player !

I have reached a point of what some may consider an end, I have Billions upon Billions pilling up. I have beed to all corners crevasses and deep black abyss’s. I have all the known ships. And Stations all over the place.
Yet I do not take part in any fighting what so ever. It is pointless for me, and frankly boring.

I still play the game when I wish to go for a fly around, build a new factory, or space art station !

I also drop Back into X3TC, just to get some better scenery to fly around in, X4 is quite Black !

When 3 comes out I shall explore it intently, then once I have noted and updated my database of the game, I shall start a fresh from scratch.
Deliberately avoiding any nasty sectors, so they are not part of my game.

So I don’t think there can be an end,

Perhaps y'all didn't notice this thread is a year old? Necromancy is generally frowned upon on these forums.
