it may sem like an odd question but, why are so few of the new ships compatible with PALC and PBC? i know there hard to get in vanilla but they are very effective if you can get them.

I am not sure how to answer that.
We have our own ideas about weapons - you should find new ones after the XG plot - and we do not favour beams.
They are very difficult to balance properly in my experience.

really? i never found them good for anything but anti-missile/M5,4 defense. the dps was too low for m3 and up, but they are the best, even over dedicated flack guns, for missiles and light fighters. i alwase thought they were fairly well balanced in groups of 2-4

I disagree. 4 PALC will make short work of regular M6s at an extreme range.

true, but you only have maybe 5 degrees that you can hit with 4 palc on the tiger and panther and i've never gotten a m6 faster than a vidar to stick around in that zone long enuf to die, and even then PALCs are very easy to clip friendlies with due to fighters flying threw the afterglow...what ever that is.

ok chaps, i seem to running into an error. The file throws up an unexpected end of archive error so I assume the dl isnt finishing. largest DL so far is 489mb, any suggestions?

We can not give much help about this.

The archive is fine on the server.
However some people, like you, have trouble downloading it.
I can only advise you to try again.

I know this is a spoiler question, but I must know how the lottery works in this mod. I have been offered the lottery on a number of occasion and I thought that it was just a matter of docking at a station. However, I have been docking and nothing so far.
What triggers there to be an entry into the lottery or what do I look for to gain an entry?

Ahhh yes. That could be it for sure! I have done a couple searches via google to find the thread for that but came up empty. Is there a thread for it somewhere that you are aware of?

Apparently, it does work with the latest version of the mod.

There is not much to do - if you hear about a lottery, stay docked and wait for a message. Read it : you will have the choice to buy a ticket or not.
Keep in mind it is a real lottery though, you have only a small chance to win.
