sorry if this question sounds stupid, but i haven't used an X2 mod before. Will i still be able to load my normal story saved games without them being changed by the mod?

Generally, most mods need you to start new games.

That's because the AI ships that currently exist in your savegames will not use updated statistics in the mods, which renders the modification largely irrelevant.

No, because NEW ships will have the new modifications, if the mod changes any aspect of existing ships.

If it doesnt it's not a big deal

hey guy i have prob with the mod

i can't tell ships to dock at stations it says docking granted but the ship still say none in the ships order on any ship

Yes i noticed this too, tried to capture some pirat ships, but they refuse to dock to shipyards, or any other station for that matter.

Yo storm front can you Help us i also tried playing in the orignal mode in a custom map and it keeps coming up so i uninstalled x2 and reinstalled it and i aint install this mod untill this is sorted

I have emailed Aalaardb a new Tships file to fix a problem with one of the ships. As for the docking problem, it may be related to the docking script. I'm having problems with the scripts as well, unfortunately, I know nothing about scripts.

Thanks for the mod. I started plaing last night. Didnt get very far, because I was zonked, but noticed 2 things:

1. In Argon Prime and Home of Light, I noticed 2 factories that had the name of "Readtext####" or somesuch. I imagine this is a bug.

I picked up the astronaut whos ship had been hit by a meteor, and docked at the nearest station, but I didnt get any further message and I didnt get his ship on y owned properties tab. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?
Thanks for the hard work on this. Looking forward to getting further into it!

BTW - I have no other mods or scripts installed.

Well I D/L'd it, and installed it.

Impressed with what I've seen so far, and boy is it big...but I have a very bugs for you.
Not trying to nit pick, but hoping to help.

Has as been reported above, the dock command doesn't work. I had a pirate bail on me, but his ship just sit's there, the only way to get him to dock is to tell him, follow me, and fly to the dock yourself, but with a hull damages TL following you, in an huge sector, this takes weeks.


The "Help my ship is buggered, life support failing..." mission thing, doesn't work.
I picked up the pilot who said about getting him to the nearest station etc...
I dock, and then nothing. His ship isn't even there when I leave the station, no comm message nothing.
Don't know if this has anything to do with the fact that his ship ID is missing the first letter.


The new sectors don't show up on the Galaxy Map, so you can't use the Jumpdrive, or the 'Fly to Sector' command, to get to new sectors, even if you've already explored them.

Great Work.
Even though i couldnt really try it out yet,from the sounds of it and some old Mods like Khaak second Invansion,i think stuff like this is what X2 needs.

*Sigh* I wish i wouldnt have bought the german Version.
All i get into my message Logs in the beginning are Read Text *numbers*kinda things and some Factories are also named Read Text *numbers*.
And i bet new Missions will also only say Read Text bla bla with my German Version so i didnt contine to try it out for now as i dont know whats expected to do from me in the Logs and Missions.

My deepest Respect anyway for doing so much Work.
If anyone knows how to actually get the real Text,be it German or English into my Logbook i would be most grateful.

I think the read text errors are occuring because of a problem with either the 441111 or the init file for it. That part is fine in my game. I hate scripting.

just woke up, gimme a minute. The text files were there, they were included in the mod package as *.pck. Either you can't have them as *.pck or they need to be in the t foder instead of the mod pack, not sure. Sorry this didn't turn up earlier. Tships updated. fixed the docking script (it was a "=" instead of a "start" :/) give me a while to upload these.

Just noticed when looking in the Fleet Command add ship type I saw a ship model for Experimental Ship not sure if it was always in the game or was just added with the mod either or was curious how u get it. Was a very cool looking ship had a teal type color.
