No Fleet commands => False. Now, it looks like X3:R vanilla on this side.

No new plots => Seriously guy... There is others priority... Complete the actual stuff is more important than add plot.

No buyable S-Ship/fighters => 100% agreeing, i really hope that it will come soon.

No new ship => True, but now the Skunk is fat better. I think new ships will come in extension, with new plots.


For me, the next patch should include new interface, buyable S-Ship/Fighters, enhanced IA, and maybe some new interiors/Characters graphics.

But, guy... This patch is great and bring a LOT of new (needed) stuff ! Don't understand how you can be disapointed...

All good stuff but none of it is worth a chocolate covered turd if the stations are not fixed. You people at egosoft can't seem to get it through your thick skulls that building wares in cycles dose not work period. So before you give us any more pretty little turds why don't you clean up the big smelly one you left behind :x

Hi, been gone for a long time but this looks decent and need something to counter my Space Jones while waiting for SC.

Couple questions: How do I access as early post mentioned subscriber? Is this a Steam option and do I need access code?

Was any sort of Newtonian flight model ever implemented?

Are the new cockpits upgrades or options? I was hoping for new ships but overall looks like a good upgrade and I need some space fare now!!!

Some peeps seem not to understand that Skunk is just your camera.
X Rebirth is a empire building game, with trading, and warships along your side (now better than before!) and basically Skunk is your camera.
Its a RTS, where instead of bird perspective, you have a freeview camera.
And you can fight yourself if you wish to. But its much more fun to watch capships execute your orders.

The new capships commands boost the enjoyement by 900% - especially "attack object". And "fly to my position" also.

The cockpits - I dont know. They are sure a great addition. But personally, I find them lacking. Give me back X2 cockpits! I like huge, view blocking cockpits. Thats just me.
But nope, just ignore this. I dont care about fighters that much. Capships are the real thing!


Those new ships look extremly good.
Will have to have a look at that new Xenon vessel however.
I hope it has a landing pad! Unlike Xenon K, which doesn't. (so I can board & use it)

And of course, capital ship bridges. Those are totally needed.

I think there are new plots. From 'Argon Mercenary' gamestart.

Well then thats one lethal camera! It's designer's job to calibrate the game with correct parameters to make the game fun and our job to "beat" the game under those parameters. If our starting ship/camera can outmuscle half the galaxy well than the parameters are broken and the sport no longer a challenge or fun.

I'd also prefer different ships to better reflect the player's identity while en route to empire building. Slow but well defended merchant class ships to fast highly nimble pirate fighters all with the appropriate sounds, cockpits and feel to the given class.

But thats just me :D

Combat has been rebalanced and there are difficulties now. If you think skunk is overpowered then put the difficulty on hard. This makes the skunk weaker and other ships stronger. It is harder on hard.

Roger that comment helps no-one. The bug stems from the original soft targeting system and affects all players that engage in combat with guidance from plot or station missions.

Bird table is not entirely telling the truth here. When a ship attacks you and you have nothin targeted it will automatically target the ship that fired on you but after a short time it will lose the target. He is right about that, however, when you actually target an enemy ship by either clicking on it with the mouse or hitting the key or target nearest enemy, you will not lose the target lock. So he is wrong about that. He is obviously not targeting using these methods.

Nice patch,BUT we need a big preformance patch,still only getting 20fps on Default graphics settings.
Also TBH the old menu music was much better.

Sorry blackrain but this is a genuine issue. Starting a new plot for the beta 2.0 today i lost manual target twice just on the plot mission to kill 2 drones when you first reach the plot rahanas (posted in beta forum). Each time the guidance 'pings' for want of a better term, the manual target lock is cleared.

Edit i am manually targeting with shift+E from the default keymap.

Yorrick, while I am not saying it didn't happen to you, I have never seen it happen. I only ever saw it happen with the auto targeting. If what you say is true then it is a bug. I will test more and see. If it is I will report it to the Devs.
