Well I have been in touch with Amazon UK, who have assured me I will get x rebirth before 1pm on the 15th, they will despatch on thurs. the 14th.
Good news for me. I can now just install from disc mostly, if it is released at 12:00pm.

Maybe it's because I am in the uk, or because I paid extra £5 for expedited delivery, I don't know, they also assured me I will still only be charged £29.99 for it even though price now is £34.99. Because I ordered in October at the lower price.

So UK Amazon is shipping Thursday 14th? Shit!!! I was hoping it will arrive on 15th. Still there is a chance. I ordered first class shipment which should take up to 2 days.

I remember the days when you had to wander around town until you found a shop stocking the game you were looking for; if you were lucky a magazine might publish a release date. The fact that you can now order from the sofa and have it delivered to your door is enough for me. I'm not really bothered if it's Friday, Saturday or sometime next week.

Ordered the Rome II collectors edition from GameUK for £110 but by the day before release they still hadn't posted it so I cancelled and downloaded it from Steam instead (saving myself some £80 in the process.

This time I've ordered from Zavvi but again if they haven't posted it out by the day before release then I'll cancel and just download the bog standard version from Steam instead.

You would think that with Steam in the marketplace the traditional retailers would have stepped up their game by now but nope they are still happy to get the copies of their games to their customers days after Steam users are already playing.

@Abraxis86: Maybe one reason why we see no women is. The could be sickly people like one finds in Japanese anime. Which tend to be very sick or very dead. Other then that. The waiting game begins for a lot of people.
