Actually I haven't. I have to admit that I didn't know the games before. But I will check it out some time. Right now I think it's good if I don't know too much about it because it might lead to imitating something from the older games and I don't want to do that.

Peanut, you do whatever you feel you need to, to become better in-tune with the X-verse. Not even play the game. Read wikis, player feedback, maybe even some RP/player-written stories, etc.

You don't need to hear the old games to voice-act for the new one. Make it how you think we will best respond, or how you think will make it come alive in a way we can relate.

Don't just "know" the community. Actually "feel" the community. Each member is a part of a collective mindset, with many of us revolving around a similar or same idea, preference, etc. Take it how you want to take it. I, for one, will support you 101% of the way.
