For now im taking a few last assasinations and other such missions to give me that extra little bit of cash to have a comfortable pillow of cash to lay on in times of need.
First was an assasination, 1.3 mill, Easy as pie, Typical routine stuff, then when i was buying the stations for my weedplex in Ceo's sprite i get a mission for protecting a station.
Unfortunatly Har-O-Wing wasnt here as i had to go equip the drones with software*which i forgot beforehand!*
so just me and "Shard" vs 3 m6's
I set shard to attack the lone osprey, while i tackle the other 2 and the assorted fighters..

Sorry about the ULTRA short chapter, but something honestly came up at the wrong time and since i promised a chapter this will have to do.

Well, its been a few days, i'd left Nomm and har to spend their credits while we rest and recuperate, i still am transporting the stations for my weedplex from ceo's
sprite.
I decide that today is a pirating day, So i jump to hatikvahs faith and start to make my way"Slowely" across to Split fire.
I attacked mainly weapons dealers
and got over 500 wasps.
25 hornets
2 FBL
roughly 10 Pacs
and a mishmash of other assorted goodds.
Unfortunatly i really peeved off the boron and im now "confirmed adversary"

On a lighter note, later on we took a very hard protect station mission for the split.
So i Called back Har to try him out in a combat situation.
And "Har-O-Wing" went quite well, hars shield got down to 30% at one stage, and it was 3 of them vs 1 pirate nova with hepts, but in the end, he*unlike Nomm* Didnt
bring it back with any expensive scratchs
In all harrowing took out 3 novas all on their lonesome.
Not bad for a first shakedown run.
After that i had to jump me and har-o-wing base to a nearby split sector to buy ecells
And after this i decided i was sick of always having to go get my own cells.
So i purcased a Mistral SF and am in the process of upgrading it to be my fuelboat.
With a 10000 BASE cargo space without upgrades, its not a bad investment.
I hope that is..
Unfortunatly it completly flattened my money, at one stage i was into the tens of thousands instead of millions.
So off i go for a few assasination missions, also my message box is starting to get cluttered, the occasional marine is reporting in saying he needs more money to train.
So far only 1 marine is really at combat readiness
But ive got atleast 30 training up.
ALSO, my weedplex is up and running. well it WIll be. when my merc starts supplying it ecells. apparantly noone is willing to sell me some. at MAX PRICE!?
I hope i wont need a ship to sell the weed.
also, the poltergiest missile fab is no longer working. something bout a lack of C rations.
so my vidar has lost some of its anti fighter power.
My money is back up to roughly 3 million, and both "Shard" and "Har-O-Wing" are accompanying me on another piracy run, ive had to call in both my mistral and my
old vulture to pick up the loot.
Well over 500 wasps,
200 IRE's
20 1 MJ shields
5000 energy cells*needed*
10 or so PAC's
Seems Piracy is a good buisness
Unfortunatly ive severly annoyed the paranid and the boron*again*
oh and the pirates, yes every pirate wants my head to adorn their ships..

Chapter 16:
Today i decided i wanted to try and meet up with the yaki. so that involved a flight through paranid space...
Oh boy was that a fun idea..
see as i was crossing dukes domain, i get a call from a yaki pilot to kill 3 ships for 900k each..
No prob, but as im headed north to priests rings.. the local Oddy decides to try and have some fun at my expense..
In the form of a Firestorm torpedo..

it was THREE firestorm torpedo's
now im Running as fast as i can, strafing and praying simultaniously that i can outrun this thing long enough to get to the gate.
Well obviously i made it. or i wouldnt of been recording this log, but lets just say that missle was well with the 1km range..
yeah.. THAT close..
Oh well, now jumped in to the targets sector. blew him away and his 2 buddies, paranid are furious.. but well.. what are they gonna do about it? i mean what MORE can you fire other than FIRESTORM TORPEDOES!?
Ok Time to fly to yaki-land,
Ok well, we flew into yakiland, and found their shipyard!
It also had a mission to protect said shipyard.
Seeing as i had Nomm with me, and the difficulty was only Average i agreed...
And once again, Nomm scratched the Dragon..
He was only against a single Bloody osprey and yet he cant take it out?!
His first run on it slammed it down to 4% hull..
then he floundered around and it knocked him down to 90% percent, then he Turns and lands a lucky shot with his main guns taking it out...
This better stop, or i will be.. Displeased.... or FRAKKIN MAD AS HELL!

Hm.... Theres an idea....
I wonder if he would want to fly the vidar. and i take the dragon.....
The vidar has 2 turrets, both loaded with dual EMPC's each, so even if he cant line up the main guns, he can give them one hell of a thump with the EMPC's, and i can fly missile boat, being able to keep a closer eye on whats fired, as i dont trust Nomm with the larger yield missiles.

Well i got another mission from the yaki shipyard. destroy 4 ships.. 1.3mill EACH!?

Jumped to empires edge, the ships were 50km from me..
and a oddy was less than 30k from me..

Chased them to the west gate, that goes to PARANID PRIME..

as i left, that oddy fired a RGW at me.
I shoulda taken this as a warning..
Cause as i jumped into Paranid prime there was an oddy and a zeus waiting for me.

I chased down 2 of the freighters who were halfway to the south gate, getting shot at by every paranid m5, Which were quickly dispatched via turrets.
as i caught the last 2 at hte south gate, ANOTHER oddy jumps in and starts spraying PPC at me.
So ducking and dodging PPC i took out the last 2 freighters, and as i close to the gate, a DEIMOS jumps in and spray god knows what at me..
Well i got through the gate..
Then a hades hidden just below the gate fires a Tomahawk at me..
cmon turrets stop it!!!
FRAK THEY MISSED!

Well, i survived, it knocked my shields down to 2%...
yeah. THAT close..
Also i talked to Nomm, and after an 2 hour argument, 2 fights and me
getting exasperated and just teleporting him to an empty hold in my
mistral, he finally agreed to fly the vidar instead of the Dragon..
Im fed up with the repair bills...
Ok well, with me in the dragon and Nomm forcibly and unceremoniously STUFFED into
the Vidar, And i honestly dunno what hes complaining about, atleast 1
more 200mj shield gen, 2 sets of EMPC doublets, and 4-5 M/AM
weapons on the front..
What more could you want!?
Ok well, all this managerial stuff complete, i jump to priests rings to
try and cosy up to the paranid
First mission we get, was a Very hard protect station mish..
First through the gate, a pirate nova..

I decided to see how nomm goes this time, staying within 5km myself.
On his first pass he DOMINATES its shields down to single digits,
and while hes turning around for a nother pass his EMPC's smash into
its hull, by the time he was turned aroumd, he took it out with his first
shot from the front batterry
only a loss of 10% shields? not bad.
Before we could tackle any more Pirates coming through the gate, a
Argon Cerberus pops through..
In paranid territory? this outta be good.
Or not. its floating just outside the gate, not moving.. and theres a
paranid nemesis right next to it, and it aint firing..
However its absolutly owning every Pirate M6 coming through the
gate.
heh. easy pay for easier work.
After this we fly southwards in search of more missions, before we
even leave priests pity we find a bunch of khaak fighters. 1 m3. and
roughly 10 M5's..
So after a liberal Wasp spray*over 30 wasps* and a some spam fire
from my battery against the fighter they were gone in less than a
minute. and the paranid are being a lil less hostile. only a lil..
After that we did a quick jaunt into Split territory for a few
assasinations..
roughly 2-3 million in a few minutes. god i love being a mercenary
Flying about ive noticed that Har's been a bit neglected at the moment.
The problem is im unsure on what he and his drones are able to fight
without damage, i set them apon a Nova earlier and Har got his
mamba damanged..
I'm thinking of upgrading him and his 2 drones up to TENJINS..
But for roughly 5-10mill a pop, thats a pipe dream at the moment.
For now my main goals are thus.
1. Get credits.
2. Eithet buy a M7M with said credits, or capture one when my
marines are finally done training.
3. Get more marines.
4. Get more credits to pay for the training of said marines.
5. Find something to do in the eternity it will take for them to train.
I suppose i could go back to Operation FF and the Funny general.
One thing i have to do, and its been floating around in my mind, is upgrading the shields on the Mistral(read end of chapter for why)
Currently its sporting 50MJ
I decided to fll it up to its max 150Mj's
Which means trying to locate which station sells it for the cheapest, ive been placing sattelites so it really should be simple..
Hmm how to do this?
Ah! i have an idea!
Trade/remote best buy, 25MJ shield, 30 jump radius. buy 5.
Ill let it go for awhile, the worst it could do is fill its cargobay with 25MJ shields and drain my money, and if it did that, i suppose i could just outfit a huge amount of fighters and go do some patrols to get it all back.
As i was flying past Siezewell i noticed i have to rep, if not the money, to purchase a shrike..
and the moment i saw that, wheels in my head started to turn..
First, the shields would cost roughly 8mill to max them out..
so the cost is at 38mill without weaponry.
But..
it can hold 8 fighters..
That means i can hold har-o-Wing, plus my lil kestrel, and a few large M3's for now to act as extra storage.
ALSO
It can serve as my Fuelboat, the cavernous cargobay is perfect to store such materials..
Also it is slow enough for Nomms shiny old Vidar to keep up easily.
Hell the MISTRAL might be able to keep up with it.
also the dragon could escort it as well. providing me with slightly faster strike capabilities
hmm, Ideas ideas ideas..
problem is i'll need roughly 40mill to get it moving.
well im currently at roughly 15mill, why not keep trying?
But where to store my money?

Ill pull a steve, ill set up my Weed plex to work as a bank..
Ill leave roughly 5mill in my account and throw the rest in there.
Ok well after roughly an hour of flying around ive ended up at patriarchs retreat, killing a guy for 3 million credits..
Which went rather horibly, almost got my dragon damaged...
Also nomm is VERY deadly in that Vidar....
His first barrage pretty much wipes out ANY shields on ANY M6.
Normally he has a lil trouble taking out them after, having to come around for another pass, but by then the EMPC's have either destroyed it, or weakened it more.

As i jump in i see my target.. was a pirate osprey.. surrounded by 6 m6's as a body guard, under attack by a split raptor...
OH NO YOU DONT!
I went a bit overboard.. even Nomm was Shouting "ar' ye' MAD!!!"

5 thunderbolts
10 Typhoons
and roughly 20 wasps.
Well. atleast i got him.

The reason the mistral needs shields is that earlier i died to a gatejam, and it happened to happen roughly 5 minutes AFTER the mistral got almost completly roasted by a pirate elite. took it down to 50% hull. my latest save was just before that.. Guess it was my luck?

Never. EVER have i made it past M6 class in my year of playing X3.
Ive never ever ever gotten my own m7, bought or stolen.
I've always tried so hard, but never made it this far..

This ship.. She is beautiful..
I have named her Crescent, A beautiful name for a beautiful ship.
So far ive only managed to procure 4 one gig shields and 7 flaks but
im sure i can poke around for more substantial weaponry.
First i need to get it a jumpdrive, and rebase Har-O-Wing to me.
Alas this leaves the Dragon pilotless at the current time, perhaps a
worthy soul would like to fly it? or maybe said soul might want a
Tenjin? or any other ship, im sure i can do alot with this thing...
To be honest, i feel the need to retire the Dragon, its been damaged
too much to often, hell she just bounced off the hull of the deimos..
But no, that doesnt mean i will sell her, i will find a secluded sector as
a base, and she will start work on sector patrol duty, and when she is
not needed, i shall park her in a safe part of that sector, of what will be
come my floating museum/junkyard, i can never sell a ship who has
served me well.
Anyways, im in a new, far more powerful ship.

Hey dude, there is no "right" writing style. Sure it's not Shakespeare, but I don't like Shakespeare My DiD that I'm writing is more story-based, but it's kinda dry Yours, on the other hand, like I said, is everything I love about the X-Universe...a lot of "holy s**t quotient" in there--lots of the same things I went through on my first playthrough of reunion And many of the same thoughts, lol. Especially after I got tired of being a "good guy" and decided to go the pirate route...I blew up anything that annoyed me and stole everything that didn't
