@ dillpickle: Good catch! ShamusX has us all going on about Final Fury asteroid scanning instead of the Aldrin plot debris search!

dillpickle was right. I am not stuck. I got miss lead by Spychotic plot walkthrough, knowing that I have to scan asteroids for nividium.

In my case,

I had to scan some unknown objects in the center of the sector ( marked by a small dot "." ), after I took a tour of the sector.
Sorry for the trouble, but beleive me that I read the mission guidance not just once and also this walkthrough.

Hey

I'm having a wee problem.. When I start the quest to destroy the Paranid ships/drones and Satalites in Unknown Sector to make way for the rescue of prisoners the Yokahama doesnt appear. I can see the missions guidance flash when the mission goes to say Protect Yokahama but the ship dissapears as soon as it appears.

I have some scripts/mods but none that would affect mission plots.

Any ideas?

You don't think so? With that huge list, many of which change ships/stations/etc., I'd have to say you need to contact the authors of many of those addons and see what they say. Unless you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla game, I doubt we can help you otherwise.

hi,
i stuck with the first part of lost allies, finished the paranid mission in unknown sector, jumped to TUS1 and flew through the gate to TUS3, approached the SPP debris but nothing happened.

i tried loading an older savegame
approached with springblossom, boreas, cutlass
mapped the whole sector (200nm around the gate)

but nothing happened! any suggestions?

Did you get really close? Did you see the Boron Angel appear near the station? Did you try to get really close to that ship?

@ Y-Kilroy; Sometimes it does take an inordinately long time. Just keep moping around the Sector and occasionally coming back to the Power Plant (in fact, have a poke around all of the asteroids too)

Why, when running thesed missions can't I get any of my ships to jump into Aldrin, Aldrin 2, TU1, or TU2, when I am in 1 of these sectors... And it's not just refusing to jump to the one I am in but any of these 4 sectors!

I've crashed into my Cobra that I moved into TU1, & ordered to move to TU2, but it just stayed at the gate! I was going to try to get it to follow me.
I've done the same with a Caiman Miner (which has my only Tractor Beam)
(I jumped into Aldrin 2 afterwards from Third Redemption, and flew into TU1 & my other ship's arse!!!)

And NO I havent got any mods running...





*Wants to redesign SPPs to allow M7 docking... :P
Bring back the TS Pirate Ship, I miss my liberated fleet runing around the universe :twisted:

Make sure there isn't anything blocking the gates, no active battle happening in the system. I noticed this too and ended up having to tell them to jump to the system first. Then once in system I could tell them to go to a pos or station. They would do nothing if I told them to Jump and Go however.

The Aldrin changes screwed a lot in my game, all sorts of getting stuck OOS problems and Xenon invasion fleets all over the place. Very disappointing for a few stations which don't really work all that well. :)

The frustrating part is that the 2 attempts that did get ships into TU1, both resulted in them not moving on...


Oh well I'll try again tomorrow...

Ok I just delivered the nemesis to spaceweed grove and recived the message to evac. perpetual sin to avoid attack in that sector(at least that is what the message seemed to indicate) is this true? I have by this time in the game compleatly occupied this sector (perpetual sin) stations ships the whole bit. am I going to loose everything? or am I reading this wrong?

No, you're reading it right, excepting the actual Sector in question, which isn't Perpetual Sin. But any target Paranid ships that spawn won't be affiliated (in the game code, anyway) to the paranid, so your race relation with them shouldn't suffer at all.

ok, so I am reading it right it is just not Perpetual Sin that is being refered to. Good :) that would really have hurt. I am assuming you ment except not excepting. Thanks for your responce.
