With the player sector, I take it you have to select a name for it. I do this, but I cant find where it is afterwards.

Given I've not done this plot, I've no idea where the sector is supposed to be. Can you document where to find it please ?

Go to "Zyarth's Domimion", then enter the "Unknown Sector" to the east, Head to the northern part of said unknown sector and you should fine the gate leading to the sector in question.
My mods for X3TC & X3AP

Been with the X-series from the beginning. If it happens in the X_Universe I've been there done that several times over.

When you activate this at the beginning of a new game, the first thing you will want to do is visit all the sectors and pick up the goodies. :D

Just checking the Orca has the PHQ inside it ?

Just checking - What ranks are bestowed after each of the rank advancing plots ?

Edit : I saw one of the ranks listed, but what fury rank do you finish with ? I was somewhat miffed with the rank system for this, so I'd like to be given 100% of the top rank ! :)

BTW, I've taken the liberty of copying most of the OP onto my forum. Mainly so I can find it again easier, but also so anyone reading there can see I like this :) Hope thats ok with you.

I was also thinking this is worthy of mention in the next version of the X3 Handbook, should one be done.

The Orca has the PHQ inside it, ready to be built.

The only rank I altered was the ATF rank, which I set to 'Research Access' as it is at the end of the Aldrin Expansion Plot. I did this to allow players access to all Terran Sectors, which is tied to ATF rather than Terran rank.

Final Fury Rank, I left out, as it only effects the Final Fury plot progress, but would be fairly simple to include next time I update it.

No problem copying OP to your forum.

May as well include the Fury rank too. It is something of a status symbol after all :) And its the only thing other than credits you get from that plot.

So, I ran this script in a brand new game. The ships have been appearing as they are supposed to... but Earth wants nothing to do with me. Same thing every time: I enter the system and they shoot me out of the sky.

Also, I did not get an ATF rep, even after waiting for 30+ minutes.

How are you getting to the Earth sector? Without ATF rep you would have been shot at long before reaching Earth!!

Earth has very strict rules - any deviation from basically a straight line from the gate to the Torus will result in you getting shot down, which is why it is inadvisable to use auto pilot in that sector. Also warping direct to Earth using the cheat package will usually put you well out of the safe zone due to collision detection.

Race ranks don't usually show up until you have encountered their ships, try flying through Terran space until you find an ATF ship, target it, then check your race ranks.

Just played this through collecting everything. All there and correct.

One oddity. In Asteroid belt I get a message asking me if I need the Mining Base Ship relocated. I'm not sure what that is supposed to do, but I answered yes (thinking it was going to appear in Asteroid belt), and then I found it docked in Aldrin2, where I expected it anyway.

Any reason you get that message in Asteroid Belt ?

Earth did shoot at me, but I did warp in. Forgot about that. :D Mars was fine, so the ATF rep kicked in on entry. (Warped in there too).

I might point out for people reading, that some of the ships are in space, the rest are docked. So if what your expecting isnt visible, check the major station for ships docked.

Something I thought of as I was doing this, I'd like the option to get paid for the Final Fury missions ! :D So maybe a jump into M148, gives you a message asking if you wish final payment for the Final Fury Battles, and at the same time, give top FF rank, regardless of if you take the money or not. Not all the missions paid anything, but a good few of them were very lucrative. From memory, I got 50 mill or so last time I did the plot. When starting a new game, it would be nice sometimes to have it "legitimately". :D And you could make it a random amount between say 40 and 50 mill, just so there is a bit of mystery and potential realism.

The other thing I thought would be a nice addition is to join the player sector to the hub automatically. And frankly, a few 60 yeild roids in the player sector would be appreciated as well, as having seen it for the first time, I found it particularly useless as a manufacturing base. Perhaps ask if you would like some augmented roids in there when you jump in ? Suggestions anyway.

All in all though, works like a charm. Now all I need to do is figure out a reason for keeping on playing this new game.

I've found something you seem to have missed.

I've set all 3 gates in the Hub, and they are locked that way.

When the hub plot is complete, the gates are supposed to be unlocked so that they can be repeatedly changed.

At the moment, that is not possible.

Can you look at this please ?

I just want to report that this no longer works with 3.0.
It looks like something is wrong with Aldrin plot (no Adrin instalation/Gates are spawned), It's possible that other plots might be broken too.

BTW: 3.0 adds Griffon as OFF plot reward.

It worked fine with 3.0 RC2, though admittedly I haven't got around to installing the final release version yet.

The gates from the Aldrin plot are added via MD, and not the map files - meaning you have to go out and find them yourself, they will not show up by using 'reveal all sectors' as this uses the map files.

I am aware of the new rewards that came with version 3.0, and have been working on an update, but wanted to wait for the final release to test properly, once it has been I shall upload it.

@apricotslice, I am looking into adding the Final Fury rank, will probably not add any cash reward as with the plot ships / abandoned ships there is enough to sell (weapons and/or ships) to create a sizeable money pool, and at the end of the day money isn't particularly hard to come by in TC.

I may look into extra asteroids in player sector, but have it as an option as not everyone wants the player sector as a manufacturing base.

One idea I did have was to add some stations to the MMBS - such as Ghoul missile, EEMPC, MAM Ammo - stations which disappear from Terran space but are unbuyable, though they would probably have to be stand alone as no facility to complex these stations. Thoughts?

No, it's not universe map issue. I fly to Neptune personally and there was no Terran gate. I warped to Adrin 2 and some TUS and there was no Shipyard, TOA, Gates, nothing.

Also the 3.0 plot didn't started, even when I jump to HUB for "All plots script" to activate it.

Can you release a separate v3 add-on MD, so existing games can be updated from the existing MD ?

Can you add the cash as a choice ? Let the player decide if they want the cash or not with a simple 2 choice email. Suggest the player gets an email advising them of their promotion to highest Final Fury rank in best Split commander language, and with the option for the cash payment or not.

You could also ask the player to choose if they want a rich roid field in their sector or not.

MMBS ? I dont understand that last paragraph at all, but on principle, if god removes them and they never come back, then they should be added another way in another place. Stand alone is better than non existant !

I have just installed version 3.0 from the superbox, started a new game, all rewards, gates and stations are present and correct - including the Aldrin / Terran Unknown sectors, up to version 2.7.1

Version 3.0 plot will not start until I have updated the file, nor will you receive the Griffon yet, as the file that handles these is disabled as part of the All Plots Complete file.

Hopefully I should get it done over the weekend.

I can confirm the v3 stuff wont trigger. I've seen the first few missions for the new plot, and dont like the look of them, so am very likely to avoid it.

Roids in player sector - 2 of each Ore and Silicon around 60 yeild would be nice. Preferably in reasonable complex range of each other.

After all the hassel rescuing the MMBS, I cant say I took any further notice of it (basically useless in my game), hence me not recognising the abrev. Technically, being a mining ship rather than a TL, it shouldnt have stations on it. If any, then mines. Maybe 1 each of each Terran mine.

Your comment about unbuyable stations though is a good one, and maybe they should be added to the Aldrin Shipyard. In fact, anything Terran unbuyable should be added to it.

I've just started a new game under v3, and everything except one thing is correct. There was no Scabbard in Mars.

Also, had an idea, why not let the MD guide you around collecting everything by sending messages as you go into each sector. So start on the actual message by suggesting visiting Heretics End, then when your there, it pops up a message to visit Mars. etc.

Turns the MD into a seudo-mission.

This way people get led by the nose to pick up all the goodies. :D

Given that all the sectors are there anyway, adding some messages to the end of each section should be simple to do.

You could at the same time, make the sector visible for jumping purposes.
