As it says earlier in the thread a couple of times, most AV will probably lable this a virus since it changes an .exe file.

The game starts after following the instructions but every time I enter PTNI HQ sector I get a total slow down. Any one else seen this?

This is just due to that sector having a corporation HQ in it... they're VERY resource intensive.... I think my computer enjoys Scale Plate Green more..... and that has ALOT of little rocks in it...

That being said, Home of light is usually a nightmare if I happen to be looking at the Terracorp HQ :P

I didnt have this issue when i flew through the sector yestersay. when all the 5 second lag every 30 seconts thing started this morning i messed with the vido settings. i had been running just fine off of one gpu but withe the sudden lag i kicked on SLI to see if it would make a diferance. that didnt killed the cockpit mod. no help. droped the grapix setting. no good. tried this patch and everything looks good untill i entered PTNI HQ. I'm going to mess with the graphics setting more tomarrow. saw somthing about pre-rendered frames in another thread.

My game runs great at the moment, with all sectors visited so far running very smoothly, including Home of Light while looking at Terracorp HQ.

But.... if I enable "Glow enabled" then it's all over in certain sectors.

I have tried with that off to.

With out patch: Get the 5 second pauses

With the patch and SLI: <1FPS in some sectors
With patch and one GPU: Playable in all sectors, have to turn down AA settings.

Part of the fun of playing games on a computer is tweaking it to get the best quality/performance your computer can do.

Okay, I've encountered this twice now, if X3TC uses close to 4GB of memory then it'll hang.

in my case it just stopped and started stop motion so I tabbed to task manager and noted that it was using 3.9GB of memory.

I think it's because X3 is a 32 bit program and is still hitting the 32bit 4GB limit.

Solution.... restart X3 more often !

Hey guys,

The patch worked like a charm for me But I got now on my game, on player stats I got the modified TAG :cry: But I didnt apply any other patch or anything. Is there any way to solve it?

having a problem with getting this to work right now.

i try to extrac it, and it wont show up, at all... ive put it in a new folder on the desktop and it wont show up just wandering why that would be.

Hey guys, this patch doesnt work with 2.6, the patcher cnat find the .exe file :(

is useful for a Win7 with 6 gb DDR3?

I've tried to use XTC without "themes" (disabling the compostion in propriety menu of the exe [ click Rx ] ) and when I'm in game with ctrl+alt+can I've change the "priority" of the game in "real time". In this way TC ( with 2.06 patch ) work very very well [ but sometimes I've some freeze ( 1 or 2 " ) when I'm in a sector with and without seta ( with the 2.5 and 2.6) ].

Not all freezes are because of memory. If a big ship jumps IS where the model wasn't in before it has to be loaded into memory, which takes regardless of you system some ms.

mh..but I've noticed that this "slow" framerate is recent... maybe I think is a possible "conflict" with my mods ( New Rebalance + Trail + ...ehm...yeah I forgot other mods I've installed on my system :D )

I think the best test is in a new game without any other cat/dat

I try to use the patcher but...seems that I've already patched my XTC...

the message :

Byte not found! File is already patched! Nothing Patched!

Done!


any idea? in 2.6 the game is already patched?

As N4N said above the LAA flag patcher does not work with patch 2.6, if you want to enable the flag you have to do it manually :wink:

Same here, looks at the exe and farts, says 2.6 is patched already but.. erm, I beg to differ.
