Following the "no cheating" route as well. Going back to v1.4 certainly made me realize what an improvement the v2.1 upgrades were.

Started out by swapping for a lifter and disco, then realized remote trading isn't poss in v1.4 so satisfied myself with captureing a couple of pirate transports, an orinoco and a bayamon. Sold the transports to get the second disco and some speed bumps, before picking up a second orinoco ready to be sold post upgrade to v2.1a. Eventually to dock the second disco at the Xenon ship yard and make the save game.

Whew - Now I'm on v2.1a with about 2M credits from captured Ori's and using the Bayamon as escort for my lifter.

Time to upgrade from the Disco and rebuild the empire...

be sure to check out ALL aspects of docking, with the ship, station, you & ai docking, trust me it's all possible :wink:
