Funny, IGS got a mention in the credits.

Go watch the credits from the front menu. Lovely bit of video, lots of plot-related teasers but no spoilers, nice mix of the theme tune.

Huh. So they did. Well, either I'm wrong (unthinkable!) or perhaps negotiations were fairly new at time of release (it's only mentioning one name.) :)

Great news. Question: I'm assuming the beta performance patch discussed in the devnet section will be included? I know I've been looking for a boxed UK version on gogamer, but now will just wait for the US release on 04/07. I hate having to wait a couple of extra days for patches/content updates thru steam :(.

Someone mentioned "loss of save games" and I almost had a heart attack, some people are able to restart their games, but I can't!

In the words of Frodo "This is the farthest i've ever been"

But then I scrolled down and was soothed by one of the moderators. Lets hope you know what your talking about!

Maybe, maybe not, there are still issues with the performance EXE, since you obviously are L3 user you should know them, most likely 2.1 will be the performance patch.

I'm afraid not. The fixes unfortunately introduced some bugs which meant it won't make 2.0. Should be ready for 2.1 which apparently won't be far behind though.

even if we cant buy them from local store, it would still be less expansive to order one from this site than from europe 8)

bit of clarification plz:

I understand that the game in 2.0 form will be released in the US on April 7th, however, I was wondering wether the 2.0 patch will be made available to others on that date or, mayhap, a bit sooner ;)

Anyone know?

I think I noticed it indicating a concurrent release for the patch for anyone that already has the game (steam).

They are releasing new content and the performance issues were not fixed? What kind of a joke is this... I have a state of the art system which can play Crysis 60+ FPS all Highest... and this crap is below 30-10FPS... Get your heads out of your a**, and fix the performance issues people have, or you haven't noticed a 30+ pages Thread?

2.0 is also an american release of the game. They are going to have a 2.1 or whatever soon after.

ps I have a system less state of the art than yours with better performance than you implied there. Sure your not just venting?

ES are well aware of the performance problems some people are having, but as I've now said several times - they need to find the problem before they can fix the problem. Keep in mind that not everyone in the ES office is adept at finding these sorts of issues, so in the meantime, while the relevant people were trying to find the problem, the other creative types added some content.

...Unless you'd prefer they sat on their thumbs and did nothing, so you got no content as well as no performance fix?

Xenon_Slayer wrote:Würselen, Germany – Egosoft, renowned developer of the acclaimed X Universe computer games, which are available on PC, Mac and Linux, has announced to the press that the latest version of its critically acclaimed title, X3: Terran Conflict, will be available at all major US retail outlets from 7th April 2009.

This latest version entitled X3: Terran Conflict 2.0 – The Aldrin Missions, will feature a host of new missions, new ships and much more great content and is a product of Egosoft’s continuing development of and support for an already outstanding title. The game will be available at all major US retail outlets and on Steam, a leading platform for the delivery and management of PC games and digital content with over 15 million accounts around the world. Existing owners of X3: Terran Conflict (DVD-ROM and Steam) will also be pleased to know that concurrent with the US DVD-ROM release, X3: Terran Conflict 2.0 – The Aldrin Missions will be made available for download as a patch from Egosoft.com and Steam.

“We couldn’t be more excited to get X3: Terran Conflict 2.0 – The Aldrin Missions into our customers’ hands,” said Bernd Lehahn, managing director of Egosoft. “With this new version, we will build on the fantastic critical response to X3 and will deliver a truly memorable experience to the gamer.”

In X3: Terran Conflict 2.0 - The Aldrin Missions the long-lost Terran colony of Aldrin is rediscovered and after many years of isolation, the Terrans are keen to bring the Aldrans back into the fold. The Terrans are making a massive effort to colonise areas of space thought lost or inaccessible. No colonisation is easy and you will not only be asked to help in the shaping of the new frontier but you will also be called upon to provide protection for the colonisation effort against forces determined to oppose the Aldrin expansion. You will be able to build new Terran stations and complexes, a new Terran ship will be available and a host of other new features are introduced as you play a decisive role in the shaping of this new Terran frontier.

X3: Terran Conflict 2.0 - The Aldrin Missions will be published in North America by IGS Games inc.

More news and information about X3: Terran Conflict 2.0 - The Aldrin Missions will be available in the next edition of X Universe News.
