V2.20 works with X3 Reunion/XTM 7.5. Installed Ashleys Fabs and four new ships ok.
Tip for installing ships: Install into Plugin Manager and make sure the ships are DISABLED! Then exit the Plugin Manager. Re-open Plugin Manager and then enable the ships. They should now show in the Shipyards.

anyway for some reason after i went through the wizard for setting up the plugin manager, i tried to change directory because my game isnt installed in the defualt place...thus when i went to select X3TC...i said "couldnt find X3.exe" thus meaning that isnt doesnt like X3TC right? well i found that out the frustrating way...
also can i get teh script in a different format? because i dont like using your Manager. i prefere manually installing such files. because managers are a pain in the ass, when your just needing to install one file...
Thanks in advance!
P.S. dont forget to add a linky to your tut!

. cause is till cant find it.
If it says can not find X3.exe you are installing old plugin. New plugin for TC is looking for X3TC.exe file .

ooooooo yes its all good now instaled all the scripts and the cheat pacage and ya wow y the hell dont they make the game this good to start with hahahaha cycrow u r awsom thanks soooooo much
Download link worked fine. I tried out the program and it runs ok. I decided to test out the ship function in the installer by installing a couple ships. No go. Tried to add a couple ships both as a fake patch and as a regular mod file. Neither way worked. Bummer.. .I love using the Stargate ships I have!
i had a feeling it might not have worked, i will have to change what changes to the types files between X3R and TC.
what happened when you tryed to install the ships ?
also, could you try that it works fine for X3R
Hi,
When I tried to install ships it appeared to create the files ok but in game, NO ships then appear in space and all ship lists are empty in space docks or if you try to select a ship when you are creating a script etc..
I will reload X3R and get back to you on that as well.
EDIT: I see someone else already checked X3R. Looking forward to the next update.
Cycrow wrote:u could install them seperatly, or install this one over the top.
there is no problems with using both of them at the same time
Scratch that. See my first post in the thread. Installed 2.20 seperately and it messed with 2.12's loaded scripts. I haven't tried X3R yet to see if it affected anything in game yet, but in 2.12 all previously loaded scripts are gone.
However, a redownload of the updated 2.20 did fix it crashing when set to the X3TC directory. Still didn't detect the steam version automatically, but as long as its not crashing
That's great news Cycrow, it really is. I don't want to start installing scripts without your plugin manager, just makes the whole process so user friendly for someone with next to no tech skills like me, and allows me to keep a proper track of what I'm doing to my game.
Your program basically turns X into a game that is very script friendly, to one where user scripts etc are as easy to use as an options menu.
Top stuff.
Now all I need is the .spk version of 'commercial agent'...but I think by the time I'm factory building it might just have appeared already.
Cycrow, you said the this Beta works fine with the script stuff. Is it pretty much complete in that regard? Is there any need to wait for a full release before using it for scripts? Will the next version break anything? Just wondering if I should hold out before using scripts or if there is no reason not to use the beta.

sorry i wasn't clear about having them seperate. 2.20 will convert the old file for the game to use, its been moved to a different directory. So the old version will no longer find it so it wont have any lists.
what i ment by seperate is, having seperate game directories using each program

icant give you 100% guarnetee that its work. But i have had no problems with installing scripts. And from other testing it appears to be stable.
the problem is with the ship installing side of things, which is that is holding it in beta status.
so if you avoid that for now, u should be fine installing scripts
got the new dl..and was playing with your ship creator..found the files under 03..and tryed it, it does bring them up but not in english, maybe not in any language, I cant tell..lol. But it tries, now if we could read it, we'd be all set.
PS..I think the new bombers are great looking but using only a single missile with near nothing for defence is odd, sorry ego.
no, in X3r that was when you had installed ships. For scripts you dont need to do that. Once they are installed in the plugin manager, you just have to enable the script editor for it to work
I cant find anything in the forum, everything is everywhere.
Please can someone either tell me or link me to a tutorial on how to install cycrow's CheatCollectionPackage-V1.30-23.10.2008.spk using the plugin manager.
I am new to all this scripting, never have done it before. Even some of the tutorials expect you to know something about it....well I DONT!
well first thing you need to do is install the plugin manager and set it up.
this means you need to point it at your X3TC directory.
once its installed and setup, you can either double click on the spk files or in the manager, goto install package and select it. Everything else is done automatically
Also, how will current xsps be handled? will there be an easy way to convert an X3R XSP to TC or would it have to be entirely unpackaged and repackaged?
I'm eager to start making variants with more laser compatability and porting over X3R XSPs to TC.
Good man, Cycrow, if you can get the ships list so I can read it, no code or whatever, hopefully I'll figure out what to add, or not to make bombers a good solid ship. I really want a Hades with more than one missile capability and a double turret instead of a single that cant defend it,lol. Viper is nice too, but only one missile posible?? Not likely, especially since they are hard to find and usless against fighters, so your a sitting duck, lol.
