How to capture the Xenon M2 aka K .

awesome pictures
. I am very far away to cap them myself (restarted in 1.4) but out of interest: Which ship do you use to cap Ks? I´ve seen an Oddy and there is a theory that you cap better with a more powerful ship. Would be interesting if you can do it with a M6 or M3.

EDIT: PS: The discussion in the german forum is mostly stating what is written in this thread. They started a discussion a long time ago whether it is possible to cap ships in ass. missions or not. Your discovery has given them new input

Its a one time load for me, same as I did for being able to see the end of plot cut scenes when someone kindly sent me a save from the begining of the last mission. After it, I reloaded my own game and over wrote it not long after.
Install save, load your game, play/cap/notcap, reload my game, continue.
You wont be giving me anything, just loaning it to me

Geoffrey, they only mod I'm using is one that creates a ring of lasertowers (forget who wrote it, sorry), but I've only used it a few times, don't actually find it that useful.

Well this is very demoralising, I have a save which has 5 of these K's from a Xenon texi mission bearing down on me.
I have reloaded many many times (lost count!) and pasted them all every time, not even the slightest hint of anything going blue.
I guess it could just be VERY unlikely but my hopes have not been raised. I will keep trying till the end of this evening at which point I may declare it (if not impossible) just not worth the sheer effort involved!!. . . . . . thers no knackered smiley!

Ok its was in Ceo's doubt, quiet enough sector, no sector patrol to hinder me.
I was using a Dragon armed only with 4xAPPC on the front and an AIRE on the rear missile defence.
Killed all the L's first.
All of the K's spawned with no shields, is that normal?
In this state 4xAPPC will do fairly steady rapid damage but not too fast as I don't wanna kill my cap.
I figure If I just went in with my Python with 8xGPPC's on the front any cap would be toast soon afterwards!!
The first three where quite close togeather hit them pretty hard and they tended to hit each other quite a bit, they died fairly quick but I wasn't too bothered, was just trying to prove the principle that they can be capped here!
The last two where more spaced out so I could take my time.
I treat them like any other cap, best tactic is to hit pretty hard and fast initially and then tickle them until they die, exactly what I did.
I gave up for this evening and did some complex setting up.
Next time I was planning on using a Nemesis with a BPSG / AHEPT mixture.
