I used this script with success on the stations of a complex, but on a station I moved using the tractor beam before it makes it disappear, along with the mammoth carrier. Why?
UPDATE 1: I tried to move that station with another carrier (a Boron Orca) but the game doesn't accept any keyboard input and I have to force its closure.
UPDATE 2: I released the Boron Orca and then I rent it again: it functioned but when the station was placed I wasn't able to rent it again. I don't know if it's releated to the problem I had or not.

All my dreams come true.
I play for a year now, and have settled pretty much every sector I discovered so far, and have multiple complexes per system. Anyway,
I havent done the main storyline yet, as the next mission would
So you see the urgency to move some complexes around. I do have 30 or 40 TL at my disposal. So I installed your script, said "move that complex
from there to there, using that TL." The TL happily teared down the
connections (only) between the stations, converting my carefuly constructed
complex into 30 or so stations. It then took off, charging me 30k or so,
and moved to the target system where it sat and still twiddles thumbs.
Two questions:
- Will it keep moving forth and back until the entire thing is moved?
(- or: is it bugged? should it have moved the entire thing at once?)
- How long will it keep twiddling it thumbs there?
Other than that you will be my (virtual) life saver. I might really
enjoy the storyline

(Ok, sorry for my english, i'm french...)
I don't have read all post, i write here just to notice you this bug (?)
Just one times (the first), i've tried to relocate a station. It was a cattle ranch that i had deploy in Akeela beacon and which i would to drop in Hatikvah faith.
The station was dismantle and desappear from the sector but it wasn't load in my TL. Perhaps because there isn't enought place (My TL has 10 complex construtor in it's cargo bay), but in this case the factory shouldn't be dismantle.
Moreover, after have launching this process, i will not able to access to any menu...

I tried to move a complex with it, but that doesn't work unfortunately.
The script removes the complex, and places a Complex Hub inside the TL... but when you unpack it, that's exactly what you get - a Complex Hub - none of the stations which the original complex was made up of.
Great shame.
Forgive me if this problem was already known to everyone, but I noted that the comment saying this would be looked into was posted in January of last year, so I guess I'd just wondered if it had been fixed over the last 16 months.
Sorry if that sounds impatient. Not my intention. Just wanted to raise the issue in case it had been thought to have been solved.

A Complex Hub is a kind of station so yes, you can load it onto a TL.
However, the connection between hub and complex can not be created with a script.
Destroying the Hub (loading it into a TL as a ware) is not helpful because it removes this hub from the game. Recreating a new hub of the same type elsewhere ("unpacking" it) is probably not what you wanted...

No, yes, yes.
All with scripts, though.

Hello there. I love this script! It has successfully moved many of my stations, but ive encountered a problem, and I hope that theres a way around it.
Im trying to move my PHQ, and I can move it fine, however the problem is that when I drop the station, the blueprints I have accumulated (including sohnen ships) are removed.
Im assuming that this script simply creates a fresh, default version of the station that has been dismantled, so any custom things arnt saved. Is there a way for me to move the HQ and save the blueprints?
Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to move my HQ too, I kinda figured that the blueprints would be lost but not a huge deal for me. Though it would be nice to save them, if there is a way.
But I have run into another sort of problem, an AI ship WILL NOT undock from my HQ!! Friggin passenger shuttle...there must be a way to force ships to undock from your stations!?? The script tells me that the AI ships will undock (please wait), but this one just won't no matter how long I wait. Very frustrating after building a 100 station monster complex in another sector to serve my HQ, and now I can't move it.
Anyone have any ideas? I guess I could destroy it and script another, but I'd rather not use a cheat-workaround.

This happens alot. Just go into SETA and eventually the critter will leave.
BTW, I'm not sure if this script works with non factory stations. If not then just use LV's cheats to destroy the old and create the new. Works faster.

This happens more often than not using this script. Pressing various keys will fix this. Try page-up/down, return, esc, and various others until you get it fixed. I've never been unable to fix the problem using this method.

Just thought I'd add to this; I've had the whole "unable to do anything after picking a station up" thing. I found a work-around for it: Comm any ship/station in range, and like magic, you get full control back.
This makes me suspect it has something to do with some sort of sound playback or comm or incoming message related event in the script.
The first time I used it to pick up my station, it worked perfectly, but since then, as soon as I pick up a station, I don't get any message about it working (it does though) and I can no longer control my ship. I just have to make sure I'm close enough to another station/ship to comm them and presto.
