Hi,

I posted this in the X-universe thread , but thought I would here aswell.

I'm about 4 hours into a newgame with SRM and IR installed.

Terrans (who appear neutral towards argon in the hotwar editor) have just invaded and taken over circle of labour , they have also been shooting at various other races ships (boron, split ).

anyone have this issue with IR ? , something ive done wrong maybe ?

use preset editor.

split are enemies with terrans, and so do boron in default state

use preset editor



tax message:
yeah, I changed that because by default it was only sent/shown if you had some sector taken over...
but when you got no stations, there should be no message, I forgot about such case

Hi,

A couple of minor issues:

1. Despite me making all races friendly via hot war editor, with pirates and yaki hated by some and Xenon and Kha'ak hated by all, I cannot set the ATF relations. The problem is that OFF counter-strikes are generally losing most of their forces in Argon space when a firefight errupts for no apparent reason. Thing is, in my game, the Kha'ak are sorta taking over so OFF ships are NEEDED!

2. I managed to take out a Kha'ak station with a couple of M2's with me watching from my M7... when the station finally blew a couple of Kha'ak corvettes flew off at high speed. Thing is, well over a game hour after I took out the station these ships are still going! They've flown well off the normal grid! I have a small squad of my own M6's attempting to engage, but they're over 231km from the centre of the sector now and they can't even see what they're chasing! Any idea what's going on? Are these fleeing Corvettes actually chasing something do you think?

Oh, and a personal preference, wonder what you thought about it... 35 million to take over a sector is a bit steep...I mean, no one owns it who am I paying? Registration fee doesn't seem quite right to me... How about you have to place a Trading Station (cira 30 million) plus a small registration fee to secure the sector? Just a thought...

Edit: Also, the Kha'ak rebuild their station elsewhere in the sector within a few minutes...not good! Ok, the Kha'ak have rebuilt their station several times now, the last time was within 10 game minutes! Is this intended behaviour? Note: I've collected all Nividium from prior stations destruction.

Oh, I just checked IR and it lists this fleeing Corvette as being at -88, 14, 1535!!! No ship I have that can take him can catch him and he keeps on going!

for khaak going far away.. yeah, things like that sometimes happen, not going to fix that as it is just glith happening in very unusual conditions.


as for station respawning - it's also happening with Xenon, consider it fixed for 15.30 (already done)

Hi djrygar,

Ok, no problem...if I could see the Corvette I could script kill it easily. However I wanted to see if my pair of Dragons were worth anything by letting them chase it down. Corvette is currently 3600 km from centre of sector, Dragons have closed to within 800km now...

Cool re:Spawning in 15.30. Oddly the Xenon in my game are fairly passive...I mean venture into their sectors and you'll be overwhelmed for sure, however they're not venturing out, despite sector takeover being on. Kha'ak are very agressive, Yaki fairly so - each set to "Normal" incidentally.

Hi djrygar,

Sorry, quick question... Is there any sort of quick fix I could do to prevent Kha'ak stations respawning every few minutes?

I've been testing script killing them and a new one spawns in, well, 5 minutes is the quickest!

If it's just a couple of values to change I'd be keen to adjust mine while I wait for the next version.

On the note of Yaki, those Hikari towerfields combined with XRM are horrible murder.

I took the Yaki start, so they're friendly, but dear god do they mess up anything NPC-owned that comes close to the gates. Heh.

Hi,

One more thing you might be able to help me with...

I've been sat in what I intend to be my sector for quite a while now, I'm still waiting to be asked if I want the sector. In the IR menu I see:

Why can't I claim Tau Sigma?
You should be asked within a few minutes...

I've been sat in the sector doing various remote admin tasks, SETAing for a bit etc. and no message...any ideas?

Note: this was true in the prior version of IR as well as the more recent version you provided.

reworked taxes, changed sector price to 10 million, dock must be present in sector to takeover
also tweaked khaak behaviour after killing station. see if this helped and let me know

I have a really dumb question but how many invasions can occur at the same time and from where (types of shipyards)? I'm counting 8 commonwealth and 1 ATF right now.

So far I have them coming from PAR, Corporate Showroom, and standard shipyards.

Hmm, now I'm being told:

Why can't I claim Tau Sigma?
You need at least 10.000.000 credits

I have a little over 11,000,000cr in my account...

Btw: A new Kha'ak station spawned within a couple of minutes of reloading after applying R15.30c.

Sector had reverted to "Unknown" from "Kha'ak" when I took out their station & ships (plus that fleeing Corvette disappeared in the end when it must have been near 4,000km from sector centre) yet I still don't get to claim this sector.

i dont know.. I just claimed sector


use cheat package to see everything in sector (all ships etc)

you also need a dock
