Yeah I don't think we'd seen any XTM Sohnen or Otas styled ships confirmed as being in game before. Although those particular pictures are actually from an older batch that noone noticed. Heh.
I'm 90% certain that the Otas ship is the M2, look at the size of the windows. They do use an identical front section practically in XTM but I don't think that would fly in TC. Additionally the transport version had a front turret, and that spot is covered with antennas.

Don't know if this has been previously discussed but I thought I would raise it here to check if info is available...
One problem with the vanilla X3 game was the production capacity of factories and that we were not able to build large amounts of high value products without absurdly large complexes. I found Ashley's XXL script very useful to overcome this problem and was wondering if that would make it's way to the vanilla game?

O.K.
Couple of questions about the upcomming "Terran Conflict"...???
Are the comms the same where you see the cartoony/cheesy same portrait when you click to communicate with another ship/station?
(This really killed the immersion for me especially when you had a Argon fighter jock at the helm of a capital ship and vice verse).
Are there as many or more ship variants and sectors as X3...?
Other than the humans, prettier graphics and a more streamlined interface (like getting missions anywhere/anytime) what are the main selling points (improvements/additions) of this new stand-alone game...?
I really like X3 but am a little apprehensive about getting the "TC" and starting from ground zero after amassing quite an empire in X3...
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere....
THANKS!

what is that cool ship in the developers blog?
I mean this one
Big link wot got shrunk by esd.
Wow! Is that what I think it is, a four ship fighter platform? A mini carrier type affair?
Ok, now my interest in X3: TC just got increased by several tads, possibly 3.5 tads even. This is sereal
My favorite time in X2 and X3 has always been when I've had a few trade ships and a TL loaded with a small number of fighters.
Philistine I may be, but I always got bored when I had vast fleets, I like my little fleets, its more dangerous to take on the bad guys, hence more fun.
