Heh, same here.

Not sure if it connected to the clan threads or not, but when they were there I'd take a gander through some of the other topics there, now 99% of them are tediously dull.

I think the problem is that as the game has no player interaction with other players and no real method of a scoring system other than ratings it is hard for people to chat about being better/worse at things. If there were mini games such as a race around 25 sectors avoiding newly spawned xenon Ks along the way, that was a standard in game - game as it were this would be good . . .

interaction between people on this thread or a similar site is one thing but since I now have broadband my interaction between myself and my X2 console ( me PC) has now become almost none existant talk about Ironic now i'm worried i'll never reach the dizzy height of corpral

I remember doing that in a dragon. It was only later that I depressingly realised some of the 'roids weren't solid, so I immediately found the biggest asteroid I could and went round it full pelt in the dragon, then again with the pegasus. ... I'm not suicidal.

Yeah, I'm pretty much boycotting those types. It also just gets on my nerves that when you do help, some/all following happens:

- The poster is never seen/heard again.
- The poster insults/otherwise is rude to your help, how it wasn't useful and such when probably the question was phrased awkwardly.
- They plain don't thank you, I mean, that may seem picky, but I always try and thank people who help me, is it too much to ask for some basic etiquette and politeness?

I think that happens to us all after about a month because you'll have seen pretty much everything by then. Although it's been a while since anyone had a good stab at hoaxing people.

It was made clear that this 'guild' was here to help new players and answer their questions. Whilst it is appreciated that you are looking for a new home, recent posts would suggest that this is not as much a priority as it used to be, and post count is more relevant. And, inspite of the planned changes, the thread is just filling up with personal conversations.

I'm sure that with your comittment, your new forum and site will be an aid to the X universe, but please try to maintain the high standards which you have set yourself in the meantime.

1) we are staying helpfull, as aknoying as the questions may be. Post rate is irelevant.

2) we are continuing to work on a new home

3) there has been little traffic on this thread recently anyhow, so the few personal conversations show up easier
