Some solution. Couldn't get Mars to work, possibly because the ranges for the sats were outside of goblin range so the true range of 64 was never reached. after much bullying two ships dropped a couple of sats, but since not all the corner ships had enough on board it was going to be limited by sat range.

you may find it interesting, with the way the position table is calculated for any given number of sats per size.

oh, and 512 sats in a box spaning 650km might] be overkill. But I like it

and a giggle: so far I have 3200 sats worth 63m placed. no wonder it's been taking me so long

Where do I go to set the hotkey for MARS control menu? I don't see it anywhere under the keybinds menu. And I don't see it referenced anywhere in the manual except as D in appendix 2. And that does not work.

Version 5.25 released.

MARS was just a little too enthusiastic about the whole killing business.
Now it can be set back to Defense using the normal turret script assignment.

I don't know if I installed something incorrectly or what; I'm using MARS with XRM, I know I had it working in the past, but that was about a year ago (Without XRM). Anyway, my issue is that I can't seem to find the light version for fighters and such, I want to use Goblins to help pick up missiles and I can't install the XL-sized 2 million credit version on my Nova Raider. Is it only available at certain equipment docks, or is under some name I'm just not noticing?

Hi

I have a problem with mars and generators singularity point.

During the fight fail miserably at the target, trying to hit only the turrets of the enemy ship, in addition it is near a station about 8km, does not stop the fire, but continues to fire hitting it.

Could you fix this?

Hola....I just have a question and need some clarification. Is this script compatible with the XRM 1.28? I also have the IE 1.4 installed. The reason I ask is that there is a MARS file on the XRM which I think is a complement to this script. Is that correct?

Since XRM supplies the data file so there shouldn't be a problem.


That the MARS software costs 2 MCr is an XRM issue and not under my control.
It's basically a compliment because the developer decided that it's too good at the regular price tag. =)

Unable to download the manual

Hi, I was going to give this script a go but keep getting an error when trying to download the manual.

Edit : I went with the SPK version, which is available. When I press the "test script" hotkey, I got an incoming message from "Unknown" with nothing in it. Is that normal?

I'd be great if you could make the manual available, because I'm struggling with the script, I can't get it to fire at enemies.



Edit 2 : Nevermind, I'm an idiot and forgot to buy the software... AMAZING script, I love you man.

I want to use the Xtra ship pack, but didn't know about its incompatibility with the MARS repair drones. Now, I can't get the repair drones out of my game without making my save game unplayable.

Is there a way for me to remove the repair drone cat/dat and reinstall the Xtra ship pack and have everything work??

Is there anyway to get mars to focus more on a target?

The problem i am having is sometimes mars will ignore a huge m2 thats 2km away from me and instead start shooting my heavy anticapital weapons at a m6 5km away other times it will get a target down to almost 0 hull and then just ignore it completely and start shooting at fighters in the distance.

I have set the priority target hotkey but it seems to make little difference.

I already tried to up the repair laser bullet time to 1 sec giving the laser a 4.4KM range but the goblins still seem to be stuck in a low orbit around the ship's hull. Would it be possible to up the orbit of the goblins in general? If so which part would I change in the plugin.gz.mars.goblin.control.xml file?

Might be that the ship is just too big for the repair laser to reach it before automatic collision avoidance kicks in.

Nice script! loves it to bits, BUT, how do i change the amount of drones i can launch?

I updated the links to MARS Repacked for Plugin Manager to v5.25.

Also, I added a new package specifically for people who play major mods (XRM, XTC, Cadius, etc). It does not contain the .cat at all.
  • Both packages are Gazz's brilliant work, untouched. All I did was re-pack the repair goblin mod so that the Plugin Manager will install it automatically into games with vanilla TShips (or not install the mod part at all, in case of the "major mod" repack).

mars constantly says "MARS: Laser not available."

i set it to Offense.
Perfect way to make money for new players:
Buy: Magnetar, 2/3 M3/4's with fitting equipment.
GoTo: Pirate Sectors
Attack: Goner Rangers until they bail
Make: 2 million credits profit per Ranger
