I prefer the classic X2 cockpits over the new Imp cockpits. Go Galaxy613! 8)

I also prefer the X2 cockpits to Imp's... which are good too, dont take me wrong !

Btw... I'm not sure if anyone spotted this issue (I doubt no one spotted it) but I think there is a typos in the Cat file's directories. The Teladi folder is called "Teledi", and thus preventing Teladi's ships to have their cockpit !

Correct me if I'm wrong :)

*edit* it's up! Just goto the first page and download it again. :) (BTW, the reason why "Galaxy613" is a different color above is because I typed "/ m e" w/o the spaces, IRC style)

Can you make it an option to use the old X2 cockpits in the Imp ships? Great mod though!

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...intreagueing...I think it could maby have some interactivity posibly???? to set it appart and give more of a "ship" feel...i dont know...just suggesting somthin...

Imp's mod is not my mod. This Cockpit Callback mod is purely X2 cockpits, there are no Imp.- cockpits in it.

There not much you can do of the way of animation, it has to be a loop of some type, sadly. There is no way of making a panel pop-out when the hull reaches a certien level or anything like that. :|

Hmm, just a thought, is there any way of increasing the time for which the cockpit shakes when accelerating (ie it cuts in whenever you accelerate over 20 m's/s), or could you employ a similar sort of shake when braking heavily or pulling high speed?

I like the shake!

Sorry, it's directly coded into X3. I doubt even if we crack the obj files (again) we'll be able to change the shake times. :| Sorry.

Uninstalling the cockpits

Hi all,
I don't want to trash my game by doing the wrong thing, but I want to uninstall the cockpit mod. How do I do this?

Just remove the 2 cat and dat files from this mod from the mods folder or from the X3 directory (whichever way you installed the mod :wink: )

oy Galaxy, I'd like Cockpit Callback and Minimal Hud but I have version 1.4. Does the 1.3 combo version work with 1.4 or will I have to wait? :cry:

I think it might work.. but the one for 1.4 is cleaner, and the one for 1.4 you can use a fake patch so you can run other mods.

If someone can find me the latest version of the Minimal HUD mod, I will infuse it into a speical version of cockpit-callback for ya'all.

Hi Galaxy;

Very nice mod I like the cockpits. Now I feel like I'm flying a ship. :)

The only problem I had was that I couldn't use the fake patch version. When I would start the game and select my saved game, it dumps me to desktop and says my saved game may be corrupt.

The Mod version loads but doesn't show up until after I undock from the station and cycle the HUD.

Anybody else have a problem getting the fake patch version to work? Is it maybe because I'm docked in my save game?

Hmm, I have never really tested the fake patch. The fake patch may only work if you start a game... also having to undock and 'cycle' the HUD is a standard part of loading a save game that doesn't have the cockpits.

the fake patch version works with new games and saved games with me ;)

perhaps you overwrite a cat and dat, you should name the cockpit mod to the next highest number in your directory

so if you had 01-07 you would name the cockpit mod to 08.cat and .dat

JerryT, it did the same thing to me when I tried to load after using the fake patch. Oh well, I wasn't too far in so it didn't matter much :roll:

Does anybody know if the Minimal Hud mod is still floating around out there stand-alone? I know they have it as part of the XTended mod but I don't want all that extra stuff, I just want the Minimal Hud :P

Hi,

there's no Cockpit for the Teladi Osprey (x³ vers. 1.43).
Anyone else who have this problem?
