Deadly I don't know if you still follow this forum, but I have a question. In the deadly mod for x2, in the spawn station script, you can spawn a Deadly's Museum. What is tthat about?

This might sound like an issue for the tech support guys but I can try to help if you like. Are you running it from the mods option or trying to run it with the .cat .dat option like some do? And are you running it with another mod? sometimes other mods have scripts that conflict.

Mon calimari cruiser MC-85A independence already in the game thanks to ATC, DeadlyDA, and me too hehe:-)

The star destroyer is big enough... just try to fly that super version through a gate it won't fit at all.

Noob thinks he's found a bug - standing by for incoming fission missiles

Have installed all x2 updates, official plugins, and 0.27e1 with wares

Flying around in your scout (early days yet), if I fly through a gate in Seta (ie command auto pilot to dock in distant sector, then switch Seta on), just as its about to jump through the gate the ship starts flipping 90 degrees right, then left add infinitum, and wont stop until I come out of Seta whereby the ship corrects its course back into the gate and jumps.

This bug doesnt happen all the time just ocasionally so its not a game spoiler, and I have read the whole of this thread so I believe I am the first tomention it.

Coincidentally the gate I remember it happening on was the north one at Kingdom End, cant remember if the other two times were mod installed gates.

Sounds like it's just an approach vector for the autopilot resulting in a combination of the current vehicle's speed and manueverability and the SETA. The SETA, especially at Ten X, does some odd things like prevents turrets from firing correctly and other constant checks in any given game. (Thus I always park in argon prime in the shipyard when I want to do an overnight SETA... because Argon One is invulnerable and can get shot at by the Khraack all night without getting killed.... while all other ships get roasted.)


Anyway, there's two different Mon Cals depicted there.


The 'pickle' is "Home One" or "Independance" the MC85a class.
(Named Independance Class by most by lots of indirect evidence... don't ask, it's freakin COMPLICATED.)

The other one is similar to Reef Home class (Named after the Reef Home, again, don't ask.) However I believe this one is IDed as simply nameless "Winged" cruiser. Probably an MC80.

I have seen the same thing with SETA is has never been too big of a problem, If the ship starts to swerve like you described, I take a look around to see what it is trying to get around. usually I see at least a couple of TS's coming in or going out the gate. It is like the autopilot is looking for a good spot to go through or something. It is no big deal as if I am in a hurry I turn it off fly through the gate where I want, then turn it back on on the other side. You have to turn it back on anyways so why worry.

Just installed the mod and I have to say: Great job!

Well, I dunno whether this already has been answered in this thread, yet, but I am also expieriencing the voices to be gone. It's not, that this'd be that bad, but it just makes the x universe more sterile and unpersonally as it unfortunately is already, due the lack of the last person, who ever speaks to you and stands to you, even in the worst days: the bord computer... :)

Well, anyway, I also dunno whether this was answered but I have to latest version of the mod (indeed the exe-version, but I don't think, that matters)
and I experience all the new game contents to be named with Readtext. Have the models not be named anyhow, or is this a bug or something?

sweet. i tried to download it from the links, but I couldn't get it to work.

It might just be that I left the computer on for about three days straight, without it being plugged in :oops: !

By the way, you should put that super star destroyer into the mod! It would be so cool, but that's just me. :D

About the super star death star being too big to get through the gate:

So is the python in the raptor, but when you fly one of them through the gate, you exit about five km away from it, so you don't implode all over the gate. trust me. the blowing up's happened WAY too much :D

I think that it would be able to fly through the gate!

IMHO your mac spec is way too low to play X2 on anything but the lowest settings and will explain some of the problems your having.

I'm using a G4 Powerbook with 1.5 gig of RAM, a 1.6 gig processor and 128 meg of video RAM... boy do thing get slow in X2 when a lot of fighting is to be done or the mac is getting hot.

Your really asking a lot of your imac.

If you just clicked on the link, and then the browser opened a new window with this jiberish in it, try right-clicking and selecting save. Basically, instead of opening the file with some rar utility (like WinRAR), you opened it in plain-text - and it doesn't mean anything in plain text.
